It would be great if this thing holds together just well enough to come ashore in Texas and dump about ten inches of rain from Brownsville all the way up the I35 corridor and up into north and east Texas.

Even if it falls apart, it' might come ashore here as a tropical wave at some point which would give us some rain. That'd be nice. But all of that is a week away, so who knows.

Well, shear took its toll on Chris overnight and pulled it - literarly pulled it - apart. The circulation is still out there but it looks like it might completely die before ever getting to the Gulf. Texas may end up getting rain out of it still, however, but more than likely it will just turn into an area of low pressure.

Tropical Storm Chris is out there.

Models don't think it is going to amount to much, but if it makes it into the Gulf early next week, it might end up over a hot spot in the gulf. If that happens someplace in the Western Gulf Coast could be in for a ride.

It is still a long way out, but yeah.
I saw this and thought you were going to talk to the brother of the lady that used to say "BITE ME MANNY"

I was in St. Thomas yesterday and they had a tropical storm warning for this morning but it was just really calm n stuff... no rain at all... but I had a 7:00 flight out to St. Maarten and over here it was raining on and off... Barely any wind or anything...

We've had some pretty bad hurricanes here years back... 1995 was the worst for us... Hope Chris doesn't reach any of you guys... I know how bad they can be...

I love how you are always writing us from paradise. I get so envious.
