Even if it falls apart, it' might come ashore here as a tropical wave at some point which would give us some rain. That'd be nice. But all of that is a week away, so who knows.
Well, shear took its toll on Chris overnight and pulled it - literarly pulled it - apart. The circulation is still out there but it looks like it might completely die before ever getting to the Gulf. Texas may end up getting rain out of it still, however, but more than likely it will just turn into an area of low pressure.
