You better believe they won't worry about asserting it against NT this year. Those QB's need some experience in a game, making throws. Early on, yes they will run, but in the second half there will be some passing. I hope for something like 60-40, but expect more of a 70 percent run.

The new QBs do need some experience throwing the ball.
The Buckeyes recently have had very fast DBs new or not.

Not sure how you could not have UT in the top 5. Return 14 starters including 3/5 of the best offensive line in the country, the 2 who will be starting now played in everygame as well. All of next year starters except the QB played in the NC game. Could possible have the best defensive line in the country and only lost 1 LB who was hurt from the Tech game on and didn't play well.

Return 3 runningbacks who had over 300 carries, 1800 yards and 29 touchdowns between the 3 of them.

Return every receiver.

...anyway, i am not saying t.u. will not be good....far from it. they are just not a top 5 team, imo. but this is not me just picking on t.u., i don't think notre dame is a top 5 team either. and the reason USC is a top 5 team is b/c their talent is superior and they are much deeper and their current players much better, than most realize.

RB - t.u. has good stable of backs but losing taylor makes this pretty close
WR - USC has the best corps in the nation even w/out jarrett (and he is only out 1 game)
TE - USC (i'll take Fred Davis over anybody t.u. has)

DL - USC
LB - USC
DB - t.u.
PR - t.u.

Texas will be fielding the best defense in the ncaa: deepest linebacker core and most talented defensive back core. Dude, we have sergio ing kindle as back up back up back up linebacker....we're gonna have the best D this league has seen in a while.

Just a shame that OU is on a nebraska-esque decline. I wanted to play them at full strength this year to compare this year's D and O with past years.
