Sorry, it's simple truth. Tell me 5 reasons why you think USC could beat Texas in 7/10 games.

THe score was 42-38. Not exactly a beatdown. Vince Young's scramble would only save him for another two games, after that it's simply down to USC's and UT's execution of X's And O's.

But this is stupid. The Championship is only one game. UT won, fair and square.

THis year is different. You don't have Admiral Scramble to save you when your recievers routes are clogged, and you won't have the Herculean strength of Ramonce taylor to help you out in tight yardage situations.

Mack Brown will actually have to outcoach his opponent's coach this time and he won't have Vy to bail him out of his mistakes.

ANd once again, if it wasn't for Vy last year, you would have been 10-2 with no championship.

This year you lost as much as USC did. You lost your star reciever, safety, Taylor and Young.

USC wouldn't have made it the championship either without Reggie Bush. O ya, OSU would suck if they didn't have their defense from last season either, and Notre Dame wouldn't be anything without Quinn. Blah Blah Blah everyteam would lose atleast 3 games if you took away their best player.

When you say star receiver I guess you are talking about TE David Thomas. Neale Tweedie can easily replace him and if he doesn't Jermichael Finley can.

Do you really think a 7 defensive back lineup would have slowed him down after games 3 and 4 if it would do absolutely nothing in games 1 and 2? Their linebacker core was awesome, but that freshman cushing was too green to know what to do when vince was running towards him in the open field.

i cannot wait until the season starts. btw, you know i was up in boulder last year for the A&M v. CU game. your Buffs were not too kind to my Aggs. i have actually been to every game in Boulder since A&M joined the big 12 (and the year before)....needless to say, i have only come home happy once. most upsetting was when A&M was #3 and CU #10 and we lost in our third game in what was suppose to be us challenging for the national le in 1995. at least we beat #14 Michigan at the end of the year though. when i think about it its amazing all the A&M and USC games i have been to over the years...

SC's D will be much better than last yr's BUT, the O will have to score points with some still green RBs behind a ?'able Oline.
The same Oline that protects the QB. JDB has a back with a history & a few good shots & Sanchez will be starting. Now talk about no experience.
SC stands a good chance to have that stable of thoroughbreds called WRs not reach their potential.

*No VY, NO plan (B) Scrambling for the first down if defense intercepted your play calling.

THey have Hugh Charles back, Big 12 notable Bad Thad, Mark Fenton at C, and Daniels at Rg, both Big 12 stars in the O'line. NOt to add that they have either JR Qb's in Jackson and White.

White has a killer arm, and Jackson has speed at the option. Colorado is a sleeper.

...i have never been to Durango, but i have heard good things. i've only been to Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs. i liked all of them, but would probably have to say Boulder was my favorite and then Denver. Denver is such a cool city as well...though it's hard to compare Boulder to Denver.

1. USC was ranked #1 by the coaches poll and the AP poll at the end of the season in 2003 going into the bowls

2. BCS had USC #3

3. naturally, when USC won over #4 michigan in their bowl....AP left them #1 b/c they were already # ing 1

4. lsu was number #2 and played #3 ou, so obviously one cannot put them over the #1 team when they were NEVER #1 to begin with and did not beat the #1 team

5. the ONLY reason the coaches poll put lsu ahead of the Trojans (who were #1 going into their bowl game) is b/c they were contractually forced

6. the BCS was put into place to put the #1 and #2 teams together, never to decide the national champion. that obviously failed miserably in 2003 and was why the BCS started to get tinkered with

That's because the Spurs won the '05 Championship and the Heat won the '06 Championship. Just like the LSU Tigers won the '03 Championship, the USC Trojans won the '04 Championship, and the Texas Longhorns won the '05 Championship. What's not to get?
