Point is if they are good enough, one of them will be kept and the tax will be worried about later, just like last season. They don't have to be Michael Finley good.

    Bill Walton.

Richard Melzer already is an invite isn't he?
Did the Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls and the Orlando Magic say why they cut Melzer?

DJ would be a great pick up

Im still holding out for his return to Denver but i doubt he will be back. Its better for him to get away from Furious George

Last season they did it for Finley.

For the rest, as I said in my previous post : everything is relative and the lux tax problem won't help for sure Melzer or Smith to get a roster spot.

When teams cut players they don't usually say things like: "He has marginal talents for this league and we don't think he is good enough to play on our second rank team."

You never know how a player who has been cut and bounced around the league a bit is going to fit in. Sometimes it takes the right situation, scheme and stimuli.

Here is an example of a player who bounced around a bit:

YEAR TEAM G GS MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
    XXXX MIA 1 0 1.0... .000 .000 .000 .0 .0 .... .0 .0 .00 1.00 .00 .00 .0
    XXXX BOS 61 9 21.4 .409 .339 .623 1.3 1.6 2.9 1.3 1.43 .48 .85 2.90 5.6
    XXXX BOS 30 1 16.5 .280 .269 .458 .5 1.2 1.7 .9 .70 .30 .43 1.70 2.3
    XXXX PHI 42 0 7.4 .356 .500 .500 .3 .5 .9 .4 .21 .12 .12 .90 1.4
    ....... MIA 27 2 21.0 .380 .464 .613 .5 1.7 2.2 .7 .52 .37 .52 3.00 5.1

Can you identify who that might be?

    In case anyone was wondering:
With little chance left to sign 6-foot-8, 245-pound free agent Reggie Evans, the Timberwolves have offered 7-foot-1, 275-pound free agent Andreas Glyniadakis a contract. But Glyniadakis, who is from Greece, also has offers from Atlanta, Toronto and New Jersey.

I don't think Toronto needs two Rashos, but Colangelo can't get enough of those Euros.
