Yes, he is. And he's being a hypocrite just as Dirk pointed out.
Last you'll see of me here, looks like a Texas poo fling is about to go down.
You can honestly tell me Duncan didn't foul Diop when he grabbed his jersey?

Three months after the fact...
Maybe you should hate the Mavs D for not being able to defend Wade without fouling him. Just a thought...
that was a weak call. but what about the missed call at the end, when Parker clearly grabbed Dirk's jersey? that was MUCH worse than the foot call.
i also dont like him when he wins regular season games, he celebrates like he just won a championship ring....remember that first game against the pistons where he hit the final shot, and celebrated like his on top of the world.
Mavs fans still crybaby ignorant bad sports. Film at 11:00
There's nothing wrong with that. He seems to be a passionate guy who loves what he's doing. You can't hate on that.
As you should be.
Dallas got a taste of their own medicine. I love it.
who cares? if this is going to happen, it's going to happen, we or any other team needs to learn to deal...so by that i mean take him down hard when he drives to the basket, even if it means a game out for whoever does this...i don't want to hurt him, just a hard foul to make him think twice about driving to the hole and flopping around whenever he makes contact...if he's going to fall anyway, give him a good reason to fall
after a couple of hard elbows from shaq, a couple of key mavs players *learned* to stay out of the paint, heat were smart to lay it on thick and make a point early on
Classless, but nothing less than I would expect from a Mavs fan. If you can't stop a guy, flagrant foul him.
The Heat are actually the new toast of the town. Don't get ahead of yourself.
I think EssaySpur1001 is just trying to point out that the NBA culture that
Mark Cuban worked so hard to create ultimately was an important factor in the Mavs demise in the Finals. Remember when Cuban was feeling like he was on top of the world after Game 2 of the Finals and went on one of the late night shows? I think it was Leno. He talked all that crap about Pat Riley and said he worked so hard to get the rules changed so teams like Riley's old Knicks couldn't just "beat people up". It was funny to watch Cuban's words blow up in their faces in the following 4 games.
I always found it interesting that Cuban so openly flaunted his efforts to change the rules. To me, I saw it as not being able to achieve greatness at the current standard. Instead of working to achieve success at that standard, he worked to lower or change the standard.
Cuban knew the rules changes would help his team, Dirk in particular, against rivals like San Antonio. He did not think about younger, more athletic blood like Dwayne Wade!!
The Mavericks got a taste of their own medicine. But, not all of the calls against them were BS, they were just tacky. They were fouls but the kind that aren't supposed to be called in the playoffs, at least IMO.
I don't hate Wade, but I do hate how he seemed to have the officials in his hip pocket throughout the Finals with the BS ticky-tack calls.
And for the record, I'm not a Mavs homer or a fan. Just a NBA fan who's calling a spade a spade.
Had to check to see if you were a Spur fan. Almost a first.![]()
I do like the Spurs, and I also didn't like some of the BS calls that went against them in games 3 and 4 against your Mavs. The difference is, the Spurs fought back and made a seres of it without any divine intervention from the officials in game 7.
Wheras in the Miami series, the ticky tack fouls that went Wade's way in games 5 and 6 ultimately cost the Mavs a shot at the le.
Bottom line- San Antonio had the necessary games to get back in it, Dallas didn't.

Just looking at it from a bystanders standpoint. Wade did get a lot of foul calls. Almost 100 (97 actually) free points had he hit them all. Most of the games won by Miami were decided by very few points. Had Wade only gotten half that many, like he probably should have, they would not have won the Finals.
Perfect ownage; not a thing the pony fans can ever say about that.
I hate Wade anyways. The guy is overrated.
Have to agree with you there. Anyone who needs 97 free throws to help themselves out is definitely overrated!!
That's actually the kind of thing I think the Spurs are missing. Not flagrant fouls per se, but toughness. Someone who's able to pound on the other guys and, I dunno, maybe pull down a rebound every now and then.
yeah, in the 80s and 90s ppl would get hammered if they came in the lane too often. But it's not the players to blame but the way the game is officiated now, that is a thing of the past.
