That's not a family tree, its a basket. No wonder Charles is such an oaf.![]()
What a pile of steaming bull .
You are ing disgusting.
You were expecting something different from boutons?
Seriously now. With the amount of media coverage that day, I'm sure you could have thrown a rock in any direction and hit a camera crew. Yet somehow this halfwit believes it's possible that Rudy had to scrounge up his own film crew for some air time..
Getting back on topic, I personally like the idea of Rudy being the next pres. He has proven himself to be a good leader.
How? By telling everyone to calm down? My friends in NY were not that impressed before 9-11.
Gulliani was doing a fine job even before 9/11.
How long have you lived in NY city?
That's what a leader does in times of crisis. What did you expect him to do given the cir stances of that day? Bottom line, he was there to lead his city when they needed him.
Your friends' personal opinions notwithstanding, Rudy had an impressive history of honorable accomplishments long before 9-11.My friends in NY were not that impressed before 9-11.
I'm not surprised that he was in the city. I think he was mayor.
Those dimwitted friends are staunch republicans.
Nice edit Brewski!! Impressive!
Now you're just reaching. Not only was he "in the city", but he was down at ground zero when most residents (including your "friends" most likely) were still too frightened to come out of their homes.
Just admit it. You hate Rudy (for partisan reasons I'm sure) and you're reaching for excuses as to why he shouldn't lead our country. If that's not the case, I hope your "friends" who are "staunch republicans" (I call bull ) never tell you to jump off a bridge.![]()
I was obviously editting the "dimwitted" part out of my post while you were replying. Who am I to judge your friends? Regardless, I think you're making it all up anyway.![]()
Giuliani should have used his mighty shoulders to hold up the Towers before they fell.
I have no reason to hate Rudy.
Wouldn't one expect the mayor to be at ground zero? This great accomplishment escapes me! But, for a moment, lets examine your opinions.
You voted for the worst pres. and corruptive spenders in our nations history.
You voted 3000 of our kids to death.
You voted 25000 of our kids to be wounded for nothing.
You voted for 100s of 1000s of dead, innocent Iraqis.
You voted our countries reputation down the toilet.
You voted for failure when everybody told you not to.
Now Bush has taken his silence on the road, the air force one version of hide and seek.
Now we have to try to clean up this mess.
Is Rudy going to do it?
Just when I think you've reached the summit of stupidity, you figure out a way to keep climbing.
You should try it snake. You need some fresh air. Might help you grasp some reality.
The question is "can Rudy fix this"? Care to answer?
That's patently absurd.
Why? I'm sure he wasn't perfect (what politician is?), but I'd like to hear why some people think he wasn't doing a good job as Mayor before 9-11. And no, I don't want to hear "because my friends said so."![]()
My friends would say he's not afraid to stomp on the cons ution. As mayor, he promoted an at ude of stiff arming police activity. You know, civil rights abuses, police shootings of unarmed supposed suspects, grading policemen and their superiors based on arrest, cultivating a bounty hunter mindset and reward system. It made problems for your basic Joe that hadn't done anything wrong.
All I know is that Rudy better not be using salsa made in NYC when he's campaigning down here.
Will conservatives really back Rudy who is FAR from being a conservative. Will they take this as another slap in their face by the republican party? Or will the independents swing back to the republican side?
Rudy is the perfect candidate.
For the Democratic Party.
Or, to use his own words, “Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority.”
Now, look: I've spent quite a bit of time in the U.S. (including years in NYC during Giuliani's tenure) in the last few decades, but I'm a Singaporean. I don't personally have any problems with authoritarian government, on either an ethical or practical level; I'm well-off enough to avoid being caught when I break minor laws. But Americans tend to be somewhat more libertarian, and to any American who thinks that George W. Bush is overstepping the boundaries of his office - just wait until you get a load of the little fascist* from New York.
I also have some problems with his economic policy, but that's a small matter and likely to change as he reinvents himself for the run anyway.
* I don't use that word lightly, and there is an argument to be made that his social tolerance and especially his pro-choice stance are outside the mainstream of the fascist tradition, but his law-and-order platform most certainly is not.
If McCain wasn't conservative enough for the hard-right base in the primaries, how the is Rudy going to get nominated?
He won't get nominated simply because at one time he was a democrat
and :Judith Stish Nathan Giuliani his 3rd wife.
He began an affair with her during his marriage to Donna Hanover. She was a pharmaceutical sales representatives and nurse before becoming the head of a charity.
It is interseting to note his marriage to his cousin but as a Roman Catholic
he had this marriage annulled, after 12 years? Those lawyers will find a
way, oops he is a lawer![]()
and this will not help:
Giuliani has been criticized for embracing illegal immigration. Giuliani continued a policy of preventing city employees from contacting INS about immigration violations.
He ordered city attorneys to defend this policy in federal court. Giuliani has also expressed doubt that the federal government can stop illegal immigration. In April 2006, Giuliani went on the record as favoring the US Senate's comprehensive immigration plan which includes a path to citizenship and a guest worker plan. He rejected the US House approach because he does not think House Resolution 4437 could be enforced., not thsat it was bad.
Just the fact he is a dam yankee fan is good enough reason not to vote for him.![]()
Hmmm...doesn't Rudy like Jews?
