dumb s look at the overall record through rose-tinted glasses.
Above all, they don't look at lost games against top teams, or lost games against EC dreck at ATT.
ah yeah thats what happened! good way to make a comeback. now you sound like a bad mofo!!! right.![]()
So, I guess you are serious.
Miami did have a horrible record last year against good teams.
They were okay at home, but not great.
Their overall record was less than impressive.
It is November. Tim looks great. We have a lot of work to do, but I am not quite as pessimistic as you.
Last year, we could not win a back to back to save our lives. This year looks different.
The one thing is that we need either Manu or Tony to play like an all star. If one of them will do that, we probably still win it all and Tim is the mvp of the finals again. So far, over all, neither play merits an all star place in my view.
Tony is closer to it than Manu even though I far prefer Manu's game to Tony's.
Except for last game, Manu recently had looked better than Tony.
wtf are you talkin about wow im so confused nvm
I'm not down, but I'm concerned with the seemingly mental edge the Mavs have gained since last year. With every Mavs victory over the Spurs, they seem to become even more energized. Their confidence seems to build. Before coming into S.A on Friday, even the Mavs themselves weren't sure as to how good they were. Had they prevailed, the Spurs could have thrown a significant level of doubt into the minds of the current Mavs team and snapped their current 8-game winning streak in the process. Instead, this latest Mavs victory has done nothing but energize that team even more.
Because I reside in Dallas, I listen to all the quotes and comments from Mavs players and coaches. The respect level for the Spurs is certainly there, but make no mistake, the Mavs DO NOT FEAR the Spurs. There is always a reference to the monumental Game #7 victory in the WCSF versus the Spurs as the seminal moment in which where rivalry changed in their favor. (Thanks for the foul and 3-pt play, Manu). The Mavs are extremely comfortable playing in S.A. because they now KNOW they can win at the AT&T Center. And you know Avery is using these victories to build that sense of mental confidence.
I'm not down, but I am also concerned about inconsistent level of play demonstrated by the Spurs in this rivalry game. They talked all off-season about being angry and remembering what the Mavs did to them, yet the Mavs again seemed to get numerous scoring opportunities through offensive rebounds, fast break transition and were just quicker to loose balls than our Spurs. They allowed the Mavs to once again dictate game tempo and as a result found themselves again in an early deficit. There's simply NO EXCUSE for getting down into a 17-point hole against your chief rival - only to have to expend additional effort trying to dig themselves out. The defensive effort in that game was simply atrocious.
It's easy for the Spurs to beat up on the Grizzlies, Sonics and Bobcats of the world - oops the Spurs lost to the Cats. It's quite another to handle your business against your chief compe ion in the West.
No, I'm not down - I'm furious.
o? Does anyone remember Tim's first 4-5 seasons when the Spurs seemingly reloaded with at least 2 new starters each year? They used to start like 18-14 or like that. I am basking in these fast starts with our consistent starting crew these last few years. Tim, Tony, Manu, and Bruce have been the core for 4 full seasons. All they have to do is plug in a pivot and some bench players.
The Spurs actually had a ty March last year and still set the franchise record with a hobbled Tim tied behind their backs.
dude, own up to what you said in the first place instead of some lame excuse blaming it on your friend. you sounded like a wussie in the first place now you seem like an even bigger wussie. anyways, after this I dont care anymore. just if your going to be a Spurs fan, be a fan through thick and thin.
Do you still feel down?
Wow, this thread is almost too pathetic to laugh at. Almost.
