    We have a winner!

    While I appreciate MannyIsGod's use of the words "Mavs" and "pussy", and I think that blackbucket's poem is sigworthy, I have to say that my favorite line was...

    "Over the Mavericks will our team triumph,
    Providing coach Pop doesn't screw up the line up."

    I never said you guys weren't allowed to be bandwagoners. I guess you can wear that as a badge of honor as well. Its just another indicator of how foriegn success is to your franchise.

    Because it is fact? Unless you're going to claim that the litany of people walking around in Spurs jerseys where I live (nowhere near San Antonio) were all part of those crowds back in the day.

    I'm sure you're right though. Nobody bandwagoned onto a championship team. All your fans have been there since the franchise started.

    You may want to look up the word fact because I'm not sure you grasp the defenition. You didn't say any. You said 90%. Of course we picked up fans on the way. Thats a given. But we already had a fan base. Your fanbase is just now forming.

    Those thousands of fans packing Moody Colliseum in '84 for one of the more memorable nights in Dallas sports history beg to differ.

    Spurs fans are neither more loyal nor more long-standing than Mavs fans on an individual level. The only difference is that the Mavs weren't good until more recently. Want a medal?
