Ulrich is one of the most horrible drummers if you consider every popular speed or thrash metal band that came out around the time of Anthrax, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, etc

well first of all, metallica wasn't a speed metal band. second, i'm not putting lars on a pedestal. i'm just saying he wasn't as horrible as i'm thinking you are portraying him. benante, lombardo, samuelson, and menza were all good drummers that held their own. plus, you can't have a bad speed metal drummer. that's my definition of an oxymoron.
