Poker in Vegas

Kori is going to cover the All-Star events this coming weekend. timvp hopes to cover the poker tables.

I've never played poker in Vegas. Any tips on good spots to hit around the town? We are going to be there almost five days so I'll have plenty of time to check everything out.

I want to get in the most tournaments I can. I'll also be playing some NL100 and NL200. Any advice?

Also would be interested in where to find any headsup action.

What type of buy in were the SNGs and how was the blind structure?

I believe the buy-in minimum was $40 and the blinds were $4-$8. It was a couple of years ago so I might be slightly off. I would buy in for $80 though, which is what the recommended cuz the blinds could eat you up.

I've heard that Caesar's Palace has the worst odds for gambling on the entire strip.

There is a girl here at work that used to work for the NBA and they hired her to work PR for the weekend. I'm hoping to go with her next year in New Orleans.

Yeah, my bad. It was limit. The no-limits were $200 buy-ins I think.
