I heard Dirk elbowed James in yesterday's game
whoever you heard it from, he's a moron. This is not even threadworthy.

Dirt still had the ball in his hands when he made contact. Kobe had already released the ball on his suspensions.

What difference does that make? An elbow anywhere above the shoulder is supposed to be a suspension.

That's why this is so ed up. Lame ass rules that can be given different penalties, if any for different players. Dirk and Gino elbows to the face, no suspension. Kobe and Artest elbows to the face, suspension.

Shouldn't matter. If you throw an elbow and dirk did and it catches someone in the face it's supposed to be a violation.

Kobe thru an elbow at Korver because he was being crowded. It didn't hit him in the face so it was ruled a flagrant 1.

And Kobe being crowded b y Ashton Kutcher wasnt the reason for that elbow. And the Dirk play was nothing, I wasnt even 100% sure he even hit him, just Laker fans trying to prove how unfair Kobe gets treated.

Oh that makes it okay? an elbow to the face is an elbow to the face, regardless.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want a suspension for any players under that cir stance but the leagues says that is a violation. It does not stipulate, its okay if youre shooting.

You don't have to see it if it is true that he connected with an elbow to the face. Maybe one of you can give me a link to where the rules stat it's ok to elbow someone in the chops if you're shooting.

Maybe if Dirk had raped a girl the league would consider suspending him after throwing an elbow

Im giving it up because you are too damn dense to even talk to, you are so blinded by your Laker love it has turned you into an idiot

    Section IV-Fouls
    a. A common personal foul is illegal physical contact which occurs with an opponent after the ball has become live.
    b. A technical foul is the penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct or violations by team members on the floor or seated on the bench. It may be assessed for illegal contact which occurs with an opponent before the ball becomes live.
    c. A double foul is a situation in which two opponents commit personal or technical fouls against each other at approximately the same time.
    d. An offensive foul is illegal contact, committed by an offensive player, after the ball is live.
    e. A loose ball foul is illegal contact, after the ball is alive, when team control does not exist.
    f. An elbow foul is making contact with the elbow in an unsportsmanlike manner whether the ball is dead or alive.
    g. A flagrant foul is unnecessary and/or excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent whether the ball is dead or alive.
    h. A punching foul is a punch by a player which makes contact with an opponent whether the ball is dead or alive.
    i. An away-from-the-play foul is illegal contact by the defense in the last two minutes of the game, and/or overtime, which occurs (1) deliberately away from the immediate area of offensive action, and/or (2) prior to the ball being released on a throw-in.

There, now you have seen it, in an UNSPORTSMANLIKE MANNER. Which both of Kobes were. So quit crying like a girl on prom night

Of course there are cir stances where they won't call it. For instance someone looking for contact. Kobe extended his elbow beyond what the normal person does. In that case Kobe deserved the suspension. Stop being such a homer.
