Where's the reason for concern? I just don't see it.

I think what this is supposed to exhibit is Hedo's Playoff's Fallout of 04 (.406 to .321 and .419 to .333 3-pt), in comparison to Barry's current stats...
which, like many others have already stated, only encompass all of 8 games! People seriously need to chillax already. Hedo didn't hit his shots early in the 03-04 season either, and everyone was ready to put his head on a stake. Then he went on that rampant tear which seemed to end...right about Playoff time. Funny, that.
Brent Barry is still learning the San Antonio offense, getting used to this new team, and trying to figure out when he needs to make one of those nifty passes (which seem to be working pretty well, as his assists would demonstrate), or hoist up the long ball. Still, he's nailed enough down for me to feel confident when he puts up that shot, even on his bad shooting nights.
His stroke will come back to him. And when he starts to climb out of that .375% hole, that will mean lots of 3s for us.![]()
brent barry has done nothing wrong, he' av. 10+ points, and alost 3 asists a game. this is excellent coming off the bench. also, consider the fact that he's waaaaaay better shooter than hedo. time will tell, he will pay off later in the season.
I was worried that Brent would have to play the backup point.
But since Beno seems to be working out, the Spurs are in excellent shape. Unlike Hedo, Brent exudes confidence. When he is open, he's gonna put it up. If he's 0-10, he will still put it up. I like that shooters mentality.
His shot maybe ugly, but it's effective with a lightning quick release. He probably needs to get accustomed to the wide open looks he's been getting.
The speed of his release is what has really amazed me. It reminds me of Danny Ferry, if you took six inches off his legs and added it to his hair.
Some people just put up controversial posts to draw comment IMHO.
Look over the list: You'll find posts that put down virtually every player on the team.
I think there's some truth to that Wild Bill, but I think the bigger reason is that if you make enough predictions of failure you'll eventually be right at some point and can pat yourself on the back. A perfect example is my roommate who won't let anyone forget that he predicted Darco wouldn't amount to much in Detroit. Of course, he also predicted similar flops for Lebron and Dwayne Wade, but don't try to tell him that.
So far, I'm a lot more disappointed with Tony Parker than with Barry. But, it's still too early in the season to tell how either of them will end up this year.
I AGREE WITH YOU BRENT BARRY JUST STARTED PLAYING WITH THE SPURS HE NEEDS TO GET USED TO THE SYSTEM, BESIDES HE IS A GOOD PLAYER AND HE CAME TO SA TOWN BECAUSE HE WANTED A CHANCE TO WIN A RING HE COULD HAVE GONE WITH THE PISTONS, BUT HE GAVE US A BETTER CHANCE AT WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN. WITH HIS WILL TO WIN AND WITH OURS IT JUST MADE A GOOD COMBINATION.![]()
