Mavs have a small seed of doubt already. They hurt the Spurs last year with a Harris and Terry combo. No Nick Van Suckage this year to exploit. Spurs can throw Vaughn into the mix and Vaughn 2007 >>>>> Van Suckage 2006. And then there's Elson. Wonder if Pop will show that hand much on Sunday.
I don't think they really care about that too much, but hopefully the Spurs will make them .

oh well, we'll just have to counter the spurs with the puerto rican AI, he's so fast and small no one will notice when he drives to the basket...or he could just lob up a three boykins style...yeah, i don't think vaughn is one of the top 6-7 priorities to matching up against the spurs

dude, you need to chill just a bit...first you got all bent out of shape because some nuggets fan had a little harmless sig (i laughed at that carnival/mavs photo) and now you think i'm being totally serious about jj barea. he's good but i don't really see him getting minutes against the spurs unless it's a blowout or an emergency...dang, the playoffs have gotten some people on edge and it hasn't even started, or maybe you're just always so paranoid and gullible

it's a ING JOKE...i was just using the moniker that the mavs ballers have given barea

yes, you're right about the spurs and jj, i was just joking but i shouldn't joke about such a serious matter as the spurs/mavs matchup....he did have a good game against the jazz with 16 points in 24 min (6-15 shooting), 2-4 threes so i'll throw him a teeny bone

I have a hard time beliving that. If it was true...they have done a great job hiding it.

Ponky....you mean Jacque Vaughn doesn't scare you?

his name always reminds me of a hip fashion label or some dude out of a 19th century french novel

"i bought some sweet jacque vaughns for only $200 yesterday...i was pimpin' last night in my clean, white jacque vaughns"

"the young lad with the scar on his face, hailed from the brittany region of france. although his family's ancestry consisted of rustic peasants, his name, jacque vaughn, lent itself to whiffs of aristocracy.

Yeah, this game is definitely on my radar because it becomes even more important if the Suns lose to the Jazz tonight (they're 0-3 vs. them so far this year). If the Mavs win, then the Suns only have to win 1 of 2 against Houston (Suns 3-0 against this year) or the Clips (Suns 2-1 against) to clinch #2.

I would think Spurs fans are equally interested simply because of the race for the 2-seed... and the Thursday game a week ago proves that HCA is important for the Spurs-Suns series that will happen in round 2.

Laugh but Vaughn can D up Terry better than anybody but Bowen and Bowen was busy with Dirk and Howard last year. T Park's boy Van Suckage was the Spurs weakest link and thank God he works at one of T Parks carnival rides now.

The Terry/Harris combo will not be nearly as effective this year.

Sure I would like to get the #2 seed but....I would much rather see the Spurs playing well into the playoffs....along with no injuries. If we are playing well, seeding doesn't really matter IMO.

I doubt we catch Phoenix for the #2 seed.

I'd love to win simply because it's the Mavs but if we lose, it's not the end of the world.

He could've had 5 great games in a row and you still would've called him van suckage.

He played great in game 5, but doing the little things, things you rotissere geeks don't see.

Wow, two good games out of 12 in the playoffs. Why would any of us possibly be upset by that?

Dude face it, the only good thing about signing Nick the Brick was that it helped us get Fin. They were pretty much a package deal. But there is no way Beno could have played any worse in the playoffs as the backup point than Van Excrement. Absolutely no possible way.

You can't help but smile when a Spurs fan hangs their hat on Vaughn or Elson as "Difference makers" against the Mavs.

Out of curiosity, then who should be the difference makers for the spurs? I mean we have a good idea what we'll get from the spurs big 3, and we've seen barry and finley in the playoffs from last year. Elson and Vaughn have yet to play a playoff series for SA so it shouldn't be that big of a deal to see them as differences because they are the ones who have a chance to show us something for the playoffs. I'm sure people outside SA see Elson and especially Vaughn as third string scrubs, and while I don't think Vaughn will be hitting a buzzer beater in game 7, I do think his solid play and pleasant surprise as a defender will be crucial for our 2nd unit as well as advancing in the playoffs.
