The new rule is strict. You can't do what Stephen Jackson was doing. Jackson would about every single call. He was obviously mouthing bull and other profanity laced sentences at the refs for a good 5 minutes. He deserved the tech, so did Baron.

to be fair, the Mavs ed plenty in the 1st half....not as bad as Baron or Jackson...but I thought Buckner was pushing it after the one call.

he's just lost (literally) because we played our bigs and we were winning by 11 with the first ejection, not to mention that davis had five fouls before his ejection and he might actually have come to the realization that the spurs might just get to the second round and ride roughshod over the suns

S-Jax and Baron got jobbed with their FIRST techs (I should have clarified) because Jackson was trying to break up the Harris/Terry/Davis fight and then Diop (???) and Jackson get called for T's???
Baron got jobbed by Salvatore pulling a Crawford (.2 left in the 3rd... give him a chance to cool down in the 4th), and Jackson got screwed by getting a first one he shouldn't have. Needless to say, he shouldn't have kept talking the entire 4th quarter, but he was probably just shooting obscenities up in the air because he thought a car was coming...

No, I'm just an NBA fan primarily and with a Gilbert-less Cavs-Wiz borefest coupled with a Nugs run that came too late, this game was damn exciting from start until 0.2 left in the 3rd quarter... then it was exciting for about 1 min until about 8 mins left in the 4th where the Mavs pulled away.
I was bored with the Suns game in the 2nd half last night except the shots where Kobe looked like he was gonna cry... All the Game 1s were exciting as and these blowouts have disappointed me a little. I was looking for some bodies to go flying as the tensions got high and the crowd got involved... unfortunately, the two drama queens had to hit the showers too early.
SJax's and Diops techs were unwarranted that's for sure. The people who should have gotten a tech for the shuffle should have been: Barnes for starting it, Terry for escalating it and Davis for overreacting to it.
However SJax's second tech wasn't too suprising. He was jawing at the refs on the court, on the bench anytime he had the chance.
But the officiating will go the HC always. Expect to see calls favored towards GS next game. That's the flaw of the NBA refs have TOO much of a role in the games.
But in all reality the Mavs should have swept the Warriors and will win in 5. It's nice that GS is starting all this commotion and I hope that they give Mavs a tiring 5 game series.

Davis started it with the extra hit - Barnes knocked the ball out of Terry's hands when he walked back and then Harris got involved by grabbing Baron's jersey... still don't know where Diop and Jackson are in the mix, though.
Ponky, even if he did have 5 fouls... he still could have provided a few Baron moments before he was DQ'd. Like I said, S-Jax has no control over his anger, but he still should have been getting his FIRST tech in the 4th, not being ejected.

I hear you, the Lakers are done for, they might eke out a game but who knows. Wizards/Cavs sucks, Pistons/Magic sucks and I thought Heat/Bulls would be more exciting but I don't think that one is over yet, Heat will probably still win a game or two. Raptors/Nets I don't care about so much but I hope the Raptors win, I hate Vince Carter. Spurs and Mavs series are far from over, keep watching.
Yeah, Suns-Lakers (obviously) and Spurs/Mavs series are still keeping me involved, but Heat-Bulls and Rockets-Jazz gotta show me something to reel me back in.
Bringing up the rear are LeBron v. Wiz, Boredom vs. Canada, and I can't stand watching the Pistons win while Dwight Howard still gets fooled by the double teams.
