Seriously though...Bruce is a HOF caliber defender...he's getting pretty close to holding the all time record for consecutive appearances on All NBA D teams by a perimeter player.
And he wasn't too shabby as a 3 point shooter.
Does anyone notice that Bruce is like a 90% shooter from 3 when his feet are set?
If his feet are set...that three is going in, if they aren't..it's not.
I loved AJ, but Mario Elie should have his jersey retired by the Spurs before AJ does if championships are what make the difference. AJ's shot in the finals was awesome, but only because it was such a rare thing for him to actually can a wide open 18 footer.
We might as well retire Vaughn's number for game 6.

Bruce has come up too big too often for us. Avery was good in '99 but prior to that he really was'nt the greatest of PG's for us. Bruce is more worthy in my eyes.

Sure Avery led the team in the locker room but AJ's unathletic play and no jumpshoot cost the Spurs in those years....
