Some players with max contracts: Joe Johnson, Paul "I'm Injured" Pierce, Michael Redd, Stevey Franchise, Starbury, Antwan Jamison
I won't say it is a sure thing he gets the ~15 million or whatever the max is next year, but I wouldn't write it off.
Maybe it's me, but I can't see how any team would pony up a max offer for Lewis. He's not a MAX player

Well either way, there will not be another player on this team making that type of money. Unless his name is Tim Duncan or unless Cuban is "footing the bill" for it as the Benefactor.
Fin seems happy in SA, and I don't see him leaving until he has a ring, which hopefully will be soon. With Cuban paying him, the Spurs don't have much reason to trade him, especially since he's starting to produce a little better. Has he said anything about retiring?
I just looked at Dallas salaries, man they are stupid
signin lewis puts us off our 09/10 master plan
d12 and okafor!!
If the Spurs continue towards the le and bring it home, Fin isn't going anywhere.
With the team we have now intact and healthy, the Spurs would for sure have a shot again next year.
Finley still plays for the Mavericks?
Rashard Lewis is softer than soft. Pass.
If the Spurs win it all this year?
Fin might just shut it down.
Finley will retire a Spur.
8th seed.
Most boring team in the NBA.
Still playing.Most boring team in the NBA.
Not to me.
If Finley leaves go after Grant Hill on a vet minimum. Probably should go after him anyways.
Boring = 3 rings
excitin= empty trophy case
I'd rather gouge my eyes out than watch the Pistons/Spurs 83 to 86 point finals this year. I'm sure everyone outside of Detroit/San Antonio would concur.![]()

BTW...I don't live in either city and I would love to see that matchup.
The best team in the league doesn't get smoked by an eight seed in the first round.
Did you TIVO the Mavs - Warriors series? Maybe that can carry you through the summer.
If you like low scoring games, try soccer.
I'm just talking smack. Pistons and Spurs are both excellent teams. Just not always the most exciting teams to watch.
Sounds fun, but I think I'll pass. Although... I'm sure that series got 10 times the ratings that the finals will this year.![]()
You're right, they tank the first half of the year so they have energy the last half.
Ratings are overrated, just like your team!![]()
