With what money?
would u make a pitch for rashard lewis....?
he wants the max I think not
i think they offered him 2 year 24 mill...im thinking 4 year..40 mill to play for a contender..but thats me...
Only reason why he's opting out is to get more money. He looking for max money. No way the Spurs are in position to offer that to him.
how can spurs offer him 10 million a year?
are you thinking of trading manu or tp for him?
No. Lewis doesnt play defense.
Id get Kirilenko though.
I remember seeing some n00b that posts here comparing Durant to Lewis.![]()
What???
are you putting any thinking into this or what?

2006/07 San Antonio Spurs Payroll: $60.9 million
2006/07 Estimated NBA Salary Cap: $52 million
Roughly: $8.9 million over cap

that was last year
spurs are in the same boat this year
im thinking beno,,,berry...
do you know how much beno and barry make?
Lewis. Draft Aaron Afflalo.
not sure i think berry is around 5 or 6 mill.. beno mabye 1.5 or so..
Finley isn't leaving the best team in the NBA.
I really don't think Rashard is looking for max money...well, let's say he really isn't EXPECTING it. See "BONZI WELLS". THAT ing tool wanted max money and he got the shaft to some team for a million that didn't even want him. I think being of decent character as he is, he'll accept something FAR FAR less.
so that is 7.5 million and you think lewis wants 10
spurs have to trade more then that
and why would sonics want beno and berry for lewis
letting him walk is better then those 2
1. Let's focus on the le and worry about the off-season when it gets here.
2. Some n00b posters on this thread obviously need to make their way to the salary cap FAQ and figure out how in the it works, because it's obvious on this that they have no clue.
do you have some kind of insight into his character than we're unaware of??
not saying there gonna let him walk...i just dont think hes gonna play there...give up a draft pick with that... im just a big fan of rashards..thats all..
Now here's a guy who knows what he's talking about.

kori posted he is looking for max
Trading for Rashard Lewis would be foolish. Not to mention, as has been stated in the thread, completely unrealistic.
Here's the Spurs' likely payroll outlook for 07 - 08 before we even think about signing any draft picks (say...Aaron Afflalo).
When Rashard opts out and after draft day has come and gone, Seattle is probably looking at about ~54 - 55 million on the books for next season. I mean we don't know the exact salary cap for next season, but that'll probably be around 3 or 4 million under the cap. Plus their midlevel.
The point is they have some room to work. So not only are Barry, Beno, Butler, and whoever else some Spurs' fans might dream of trading, poor value for the Sonics talent wise...but their expiring contracts are even less attractive to the Sonics considering Seattle is going to have some room to move under the salary cap for a couple years to come once Rashard opts out.
