Mark Jackson's a legend in his own mind...surely they could've found someone better and more relevant. What audience are they trying to reach with him? I'm sure the kids are like, "Mark Jackson? WTF is that?"

    The Wave is a blast.

The wave is obviously a lot of fun at a big game. And YES, people still do the wave all of the time. I went to a Pro Football game and we were doing it there.

Yeah, Jackson sounded like he was joking on that. HE also made reference that the game was so out of hand the Wave broke out to entertain the crowd.

The Spurs were enjoying the moment, but Bowen said it best during the presentation, the WC le is nice, but it's a stepping stone to what they wanted to accomplish, winning the le.

I was at the game and we were having a blast, especially the lady in front of me who had a few too many beers. The wave was awesome, though a little out of sync, there is more real estate to cover in the upper bowl compared to the lower, so they were always ahead of us just a bit.

I don't care what Mark Jackson thinks, the night was awesome.

i thought his comments were hilarious cause the wave is alittle dated, but if the fans are having fun who cares?

The exact origin of the wave is disputed. Its growth may be traced across three different sports, spread over three different North American countries. It may be said that it was created (by chance) at a National Hockey League game in Canada in 1980, was introduced to a wider audience (intentionally) at a Major League Baseball game in the United States in 1981. Whatever its origin, by the mid 1980s the practice was widespread throughout North America. It gained international notice during the FIFA Football World Cup in Mexico in 1986, hence the name Mexican wave. The wave was also believed to be created in Vancouver, British Columbia by a marketing campaign for the local soccer team the Vancouver Whitecaps, in which they got the crowd to perform this for a commercial in which their slogan was "Catch the Wave."[citation needed]

The best wave I've ever participated in was at the U.S. Open in New York last year while watching a Federer night match in Arthur Ashe stadium. 25,000 tipsy New Yorkers can really get a good wave going. The referee couldn't get the crowd to stop, it was really fun.

we should do this next game

"The largest recorded wave was at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 where 110,000 people made an inverse wave and two simultaneous opposite direction waves."

i've seen attempts to get a wave going at at&t, but this one was BY FAR the best i have seen. It took a couple rounds for everyone to get into sync, but it looked pretty badass. It was a good time in the game for it as well

I thought it was pretty awesome. I didn't think it would get going because I could only see the upper level people doing it the first few times, but we got into it after that.

Man this one old lady (she had to at least be 70) in front of us was awesome. She was doing all of the Silver Dancer moves when they would come out. And whenever a Spur hit a 3 she would look around and point at certain people in the crowd almost like a "what's up! Check that out!" type of gesture, it was awesome.

The fans last night overall were ing awesome. I love being a Spursfan!

I don't know is it just me or is Mark Jackson improving as a commentator? He still sucks, don't get me wrong, but I think he's improving. Commentating can't be that easy and he probably hasn't done it much this year? I dunno...it just seemed like he improved at least a little during this series.

Mann...it's times like these that I wish i was still back in SA. So I could do the wave with everyone...

the crowd in game 5 was the most entertaining this series. that wave was awesome.

according to media the Admiral also participated in the wave.

The fourth quarter was such a joke that fans did the wave to entertain themselves. Former Spurs star David Robinson was among those getting up on cue.
