Anyone else notice Manu Ginobili participating in the wave last night? I think he did it twice as it came around. Didn't stand up just raised his arms but still pretty cool and fun to watch when you see players interacting with the crowd like that.

NO! I'll definately have to check the tivo for that one. That was the first time I've ever seen an NBA crowd do the wave, I thought it was cool.

Mark Jackson said that when the fans started to do the wave that it set us back as a people. I thought it was pretty cool that everybody got into it including the Admiral.

"set us back as a people" I thought it was great, got the crowd into it.
Van Gundy is the only saving grace for that network right now, his commentary is the only reason I haven't watched every game on mute.

After winning, it seemed to me that Manu probably had the most serious face of them all, besides Pop. Anyone notice that when they were up on the podium?

I liked that. Work to be done.

I noticed that too, at first I was like "what's up with Manu he looks pissed" but then I heard his comments after the game and he talked about how getting this far doesn't mean anything if they don't win the championship. He's got his mind on larger goals.

I saw that too and then even it looked like Pop and Tim were trying to force him up there but he wasn't going up there.

Whenever the comentary is REALLY biased like ESPN's is, I mute the TV and tune the radio to WOAI.... You don't have to hear about how great the other team is all the time....

Yep, I've done that too, sometimes there's a bit of a delay from the tv to the radio but it's still better than nothing.
Does anyone know who the commentators will be for the finals? As long as it's not Bill Walton I think I can handle it.........maybe.

That is too awesome! My friend Jenni and I were participating up in the Terrace Club and were marvelling at how amazing the crowd looked.

I love that the guys joined in. Too cool!

Me too. JVG had me laughing at his proposed rule change to let any half court shot tie the game regardless of the score. Of course he said this with the Spurs up 23 and me feeling the effects of the cerveza, so I was already giddy. Probably wouldn't have been as funny if the Spurs were losing.

Oh, Van Gundy is freakin' hilarious. I love'd it when Mark Jackson was saying how V.G. was re-enacting the plays on the court while sitting in his chair.

I think there was a wave in Game 7 of the 2005 finals!! It was so much fun to be there and watching the way it went around a few times. I'll have to rewatch the game to see if Manu/Tim do it too.
