They will definitely release some on gameday, too. That's how I got tix in 2003 AND 2005. Start trying after 4 PM.

Yeah I remember in 2005 like 100 people on the forum got them around 4pm on gameday.

well actually i had season tickets, but the only way to buy the finals tickets was to spend ANOTHER $800 per seat to buy tickets for all 16 games of the playoffs, and that's just not feasible. having season tickets was pointless without having a ton of extra cash handy.

Well that's usually how it works in the playoffs - on gameday or the day before they release more tickets.

In 2003, that's how I ended up getting 3 lower-level tickets at face value through Ticketmaster. I kept trying all day for 2 tickets for game 6 ... and I accidently typed in 3 instead of 2, and I got some.

So try for odd numbers, too....if you end up with an extra, you'll have no problem finding a taker.

Yeah, a certain number of comp tickets are set aside for those friends/members of the organization -- just like concerts. The ones that aren't claimed go on sale the day of the event. The good news is, they're almost always great seats!
