The other two options would have been acceptable by your standards?

No, but at least they wield some semblance of "power" or "influence" in Hollywood. I mean, if you must obsess over Hollywood's political leanings, you typically target producers or studio execs. Not brain dead has-been actors.

That would make more sense to me anyway.

So every once in a while when a conservative gets a little annoyed by the blatant hypocrisy of a stupid person that actually influences the opinions of thousands of 18 year old voters out there, just let it slide for us would ya?
That's just it -- is it even hypocrisy or is she just stupid? Does one truly knows the influence or even the political beliefs of Cameron Diaz or is this just idle blog dogging?

Right -- insert Rush Limbaugh/O'Reilly comparison here.

I'm asking specifically about Cameron Diaz. And if you have to google to find out, then it can't count.

No, it was about liberals 2-6 as well. I just spotted the idiocy of Diaz and it got me thinking about all the idiot liberals in the Democratic Leadership. You might notice Diaz was the only non-politician...

Yeah, the Democrats are the only only ones with idiot leadership.

I think the problem everyone has with this thread is that they don't know that the democratic leadership has extensive conferences with Michael Moore, Cindy Cheehan, and Cameron Diaz. Yonivore is onto something.

No one is stopping you from posting examples...

By the way, I admit to Trent Lott. He is an idiot.

The sure seem to court the Hollywood fringe lefties pretty heavily, don't they. Anybody remember the big fuss made over whether it was going to be Hillary or Obama that got the Hollywood dollars?

    Diaz Apologizes for Maoist Bag
    AP
    Posted: 2007-06-25 09:02:01
LIMA, Peru (June 25) -- Cameron Diaz apologized Sunday for carrying a bag with a political slogan that evoked painful memories in Peru.

The voice of Princess Fiona in the animated "Shrek" films visited the Incan city of Machu Picchu in Peru's Andes on Friday carrying an olive green bag emblazoned with a red star and the words "Serve the People" printed in Chinese, perhaps Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong's most famous political slogan.

    Cameron's Fashion Faux Pas
The bags are marketed as fashion accessories in some world capitals, but in Peru the slogan evokes memories of the Maoist Shining Path insurgency that fought the government in the 1980s and early 1990s in a bloody conflict that left nearly 70,000 people dead.

"I sincerely apologize to anyone I may have inadvertently offended. The bag was a purchase I made as a tourist in China and I did not realize the potentially hurtful nature of the slogan printed on it," Diaz said in a statement e-mailed to The Associated Press.

On Friday, one prominent Peruvian human rights activist said Diaz should have been a little more aware of local sensitivities when picking her accessories.

In Sunday's statement, the star of "There's Something About Mary" said the purpose of her visit was to participate in a television show that celebrates Peru's culture. The actress has been in Peru as part of "4 REAL," a Canadian TV production that focuses on young community leaders around the world.

"I'm sorry for any people's pain and suffering and it was certainly never my intention to reopen what I now know is a painful wound in this country's history," she said.

Diaz also spoke of Peruvians' beauty and warmth and said she wished "for their continued healing."

Now, let's say a Chinese tourist, wanting to be "trendy" in America, had inadvertently purchased a handbag -- over the internet -- with a racial slur on it.

What would have happened if, after they had picked up their rental car at LAX, they drove to that same gas station in Inglewood for gasoline.

    Yeah.

Ironic, isn't it? Conservatives hating on celebrities because of the appeal from MSM.

But this article was produced by the MSM to attack Diaz.

    How about that.

I didn't see it as an attack story just against Diaz. It was a story to point out bad moves in the public eye.

I have to really wonder why anyone could either be ignorant enough to sport such a bag, or if she is just a communist lover.

I figure ignorance must be the answer, and stupidity added because most people who are concerned about others check the customs and history of the people before traveling there as just not to offend someone.

She is a known Bush hater. She hasn’t been quoted much in politics, but did take a 2004 role for getting out the vote. I think she misspoke, tripping over her words. I don’t think she really implied that if people didn’t vote, that rape would be legalized.

I really get more of a kick out of Reid being too lazy to walk such a short distance. A short walk is not any more of a threat if someone who knew how to handle a weapon wanted him dead.

Get off your lazy ass Harry!

The Hillary deal, I absolutely believe it. She is a “Chavez in Drag”, and he’s pulling the plug on dissenting media. Chavez also nationalized the oil. Hitlery wants to take those profits, remember?

I think anyone can be allowed to misspeak, considering who is president. He has taken that to a new level. I think it will eventually be all he is remembered for, regarding fondness. That will hardly standup against his mistakes, but it gives you something.

instead of getting bullied at gas stations and writing on the internets about how it scarred you for life, take a stand when somebody insults you.

First of all, I wasn't bullied. I paid for my gas and left.

Second, I wasn't scarred for life, I merely used the instance to illustrate a phenomenon that, seems to be prevalent in black communities -- an irrational racism towards all white people, without regard to that person's own feelings on race issues. That guy didn't know me for Adam and, yet, he verbally attacked me simply because I was white.

Had the roles been reversed and the same had happened to a black person, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, et. al. would have been on it pronto, condemning the gas station owner and boycotting them because they permitted a culture of intolerance and hatred to persist on their premises. There would have been pickets and the Black Panthers would have been threatening violence unless there was some kind of justice -- probably involving the offending person or gas stations owner to be ruined for life.

Finally, you've got to pick the hills you want to die on. Confronting that person at that gas station would have probably earned me, at the very least, a stay in the hospital. He wasn't the only person there but, I was the only white person there and everyone else seemed unconcerned about his treatment of me or my discomfort.

I made a decision and imagined they would become very interested if I had responded -- particularly in a confrontational manner.

Well, gee, and the same couldn't be said about you?

Aren't we all big men behind the keyboard? You obviously place a great deal of importance on your online persona. What are you, a 10th grader with an acne problem, no girlfriend, and furry palms?
