You're absolutely right. I don't understand why others do either, but that's the problem, others do.
You have to admit, America in general is full of very stupid people that pay far more attention to how drunk Lindsey Lohan was, or who Jessica Simpson is dating, then they do politics (just take a look at the club forum).
These same stupid people also vote (sometimes), and they believe everything that comes out of a celebrities mouth, including their politics. Since most of hollywood is liberal, they are influencing votes when quite frankly, they most likely aren't any smarter then the housewife next door that watches Entertainment Tonight, Extra, and the E channel all day long.
It frustrates conservatives to no end because we, like you, acknowledge how ing irritating these celebrities can be and don't believe they should have a forum when to be honest, Chumpdumper, Yonivore, Clambake, Wild Cobra, and many other "regular" people are by far and away more intelligent then these people and yet they get a soapbox.
So every once in a while when a conservative gets a little annoyed by the blatant hypocrisy of a stupid person that actually influences the opinions of thousands of 18 year old voters out there, just let it slide for us would ya?
