TP said "when my contract is up"
I guess at this time he will be in free agency then
Spurs fans worry too much about 2011.
And Tony isn't even saying he'd leave. He says he'd CONSIDER it. Just like Duncan considered it. Just like Manu considered it.
What kind of dumbass compares Parker to Duncan? Yeah...they have real similar personalities!

Parker likes to keep a low profile with his rap career and tv star fiancee, right?
My bet is he'll end up in L.A., NY or Chicago.
If he has a better chance of winning there, sure.My bet is he'll end up in L.A., NY or Chicago.
I didn't compare their personalities.
I said Duncan was sitting in Orlando nearly ready to sign in free agency a few years back. And I guarantee you if the Spurs weren't winning the past few years, Duncan would be opting out and moving on next summer.
How hard is it to understand? He said nothing out of line, absolutely nothing. As a matter of fact, the only disloyalty being shown is by some -bag fans.
It's not unreasonable for him to look around at the end of his contract. , more power to him. If the Spurs management shows themselves incapable of restocking the teams thats the organizations problem, not Parkers.
If he leaves, good for him. Wish him the best and thank him for helping bring SA 3 les (and counting).
The Spurs could ensure that Tony will stay by trading Manu now for somebody TP likes passing to.
Oh, don't get them started.
I vote for this thread to be closed. I wouldn't be mad at all. Dumb ass comments are cool only if they're funny![]()
Damn, some fans here worry far too much about this and take it personally. I'm still celebrating this le and will be for a while still. I've gotten to celebrate far more Championships of the teams' fandom I was born into than most other fans could ever dream about. Enjoy the Spurs ride while it lasts then see where it goes from there. No reason to call Parker out for these comments, I'd leave too if I were him and the Spurs were no longer in contention and the people you were great with and won les with were gone. I think if Pop stayed after Timmy and Manu retired then TP would strongly consider staying as well, but without even Pop around there's no reason to stay on a team if that team isn't winning or close to winning.
Enjoy The Rings
worry about this in 4 years
duncan, manu could get hurt before then alot can happen before then
even Pop and RC mentioned they'll be around as long as Tim's here. I guess they have no loyalty either. what you say, I'd prefer a mansion (winning team) over a shack any day. Can you say gravy train?
I wouldn't blame Tony for doing that. By that time it might be time to start rebuilding anyways. Let's enjoy the team that we have right now. I don't know about Tim but I can see him staying a few more years and I was reading something from Manu and he said that originally he was going to retire when his contract was up but now he feels like he can play for a couple more years after that so we'll see.
I saw a video of his press conference in big parisian hotel:
Asked about his successes, he said that it was only the beginning. His idol is Jordan and he wants to make as well as him, at least (6 rings).
I see the Parker haters have new life and new ammo.
Forget what he did a couple weeks ago.....
Nah, he likes winning championships more than scoring points. Won't get any championships in Phoenix.

I was wondering when the SAIC would show up in this thread.
This team is all about winning. No egos, no locker room drama.
Why would it be a surprise, or somehow wrong, if Parker chose to look around when he was able to? If the Spurs aren't contenders then I would wish him luck and thank him for what he brought to this team. If they are contenders I believe he would stay a Spur. It's about winning, it's about the right chemistry. Parker knows that as well as anyone else in that locker room. Who could blame him if he searched for that elsewhere if it isn't happening in SA when his contract's up?
There's no disloyalty in looking at options. I don't think he said anything wrong.
translation: when Duncan and Manu leave he will get the out of SA faster then the Mavs were bounced in the playoffs
Old news.
He's been saying this for quite some time now.
It's coming and its never too early to make a plan for that day. You don't blow up a championship team (Bulls), but you do need to plan for that day, and know when it is time to put it into motion.
Some so-called fans in here are way out of line. Why worry about four or five years from now? The Spurs just won a championship.
Yeah, I guess it provides an opportunity for 4 years of teeth gnashing so Spurs fans will be all over that.
