Congrats to PJ. We should sign Larry Brown as an assistant.

It's gonna blow when we go 1-3 against the Sonics next season.

Spurs should be more concerned about the team 170 miles south down Interstate 5.

Agreed. Portland looks like they will win championships. The question is how soon can they put it together . . .

Yes, they played the Spurs tough without Oden in the middle. The Spurs were fortunate to win both of those games up there last season. They were already starting to play excellent D for such a young team...even with Randolph the Matador.

    We shall see.

I'd like to think guys like White, Butler, Williams, Splitter, will catch the Spurs up with the vaunted and powerhouse like Blazers.

Earlier this summer I thought that if PJ got hired, two people the Spurs could look at as potential replacements as assistant coaches could be Paul Pressey and Tom Thibodeau. However, both were hired within the last 24 hours.

The New Orleans Hornets hired former NBA player Paul Pressey as an assistant coach on Monday.

"Paul will be a great addition to our team," head coach Byron Scott said. "He has many years of experience in the NBA, as both a great player and assistant coach."
Tom Thibodeau was hired Monday as an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards.

Thibodeau spent the past four seasons as an assistant with the Houston Rockets.

I'd venture to guess two years from now only one or two of those players will be on the Spurs.

The biggest reason Portland played us so tough...was Zach Randolph. If Oden is as good as Randolph offensively...TPark will leave the forum for a year. You have my word.

Congrats to PJ. I'll miss him here, but he deserves to be an NBA head coach again.

Couple years ago. He took a head coaching job in the Italian league ... and I guess being the national coach for Argentina is a full time job.

They are desperate for a SG.

Spurs should send Barry there and get Watson back.

Portland has gone into the SuperMarket and bought everything they wanted...

That doesn't mean the food is going to be good.

Let's see how good of a cook they are now and I doubt they've even figured out what they want to make yet....lots of choices...and that's not always a good thing...it doesn't always get the best meal made.

    Two different things...

They literally don't have a real SG.

    PG - Luke, Watson, West
SG - ? Sort of West
SF - Damien, Green, Gelabale, Wally
    PF - Durant, Wilcox, Collison
    C - Sene, Swift, Petro
