No-one would begrudge him that, but I think it unlikely.
The saddest thing about the Beno decline is that I used to look forward to watching him in 2005, until his Finals meltdown. He's never been the same player since those consecutive TOs just before half time of game ?
He was active, knocked down his open threes and made some nice passes back in the regular season in 2005. He was good for 5.9ppg, 1.9asts, shot .408 from 3 in 14.4mins. Then the meltdown.
Whatever happens, I hope he finds his game again somewhere.
When push comes to shove, Beno always finds a way to do enough to keep the hope alive.
I do miss watching Rookie Beno play.

I gave up on Beno because he gave up on himself. I just think he would be better playing for someone like Nellie in Golden State.
Beno steps it up when his lifestyle is on the line. Right now he is training hardcore in the Julian Alps, making daily runs up steep inclines to shed that Tex-Mex fat. In addition he bought Magic's DVDs and is learning how to handle the rock.

What I am referring to is how he will find a way to deliver when he has to. He came into the draft with most people thinking he was a late second round pick because of his year in Europe. But he came to the US early, worked really hard, impressed in Chicago and became a first round pick. Last summer, everyone was all mad at him and calling him the fourth string PG because of his injury, but the final pre-season game, he played against Dallas and quite well, shooting 5/6, and he got his extra year. He will find a way this season to contribute- at least enough to give the hope to some team that he is ready to become the player he has the talent to become- to gain his next contract.
Is that delivering or just doing the minimum?
