Agree 2k8 is the better game....and has been since live was on the 64. i guess i got into the 2k franchise with the dreamcast and have been playin it ever since

I remember when I first got my ps2 the first 2 games I got were NBA 2k2 and NFL 2k2, those games were awesome. I tried NBA Live 2004 and didn't like it (someone please check this, but I think Darko was the starting small forward). Does anyone have the number of sales of live compared to 2k over the past years?

2K destroys EA on every sports game, every single one, going back to NFL 2K and beyond. Sure the World Series Baseball games weren't any good but was "Triple Play" any better? Aside from that, good track record, especially on the NBA games, NBA Live doesn't even come close.

You're kidding right? 2K makes the better basketball game for sure but MVP baseball was the best baseball game ever made. I tried 2k6 for 360 and it was terrible. 2k7 is better but still not close to good and right now 'the show' on ps2 is the best MLB game.

Their gameplay is always horrible and arcadey. I'll wait for the reviews before I give it a chance.

It's not going to be as ty as 07, but 2k8 will still kick Live's ass. But if it's decent, I might think about buying it. If it sucks ass, o well, 2k will deliver the goods.

I think that may have been part of your problem. I can't say for sure so don't bash me, but I have played nba 2k7 on regular xbox and it runs great, on the 360, not so much. I have mlb 2k6 for the xbox and it runs great as well, but i've never played it on the 360, still i would assume it wouldn't run as smoothly since its a new system and all. but then again, what do i know, i dont have another game to base it against.
