I tried Live last year and really didn't care for it. Let's see what this year will deliver. but 2K7 was WAY better. Love that game...
EA sports sucks (ok, their football and baseball games are good)
- Fifa : destroyed by Winning Eleven
- NHL Live : owned by NHL 2K
- NBA Live : ass kicked by NBA 2K

ick. The last Live that was even marginally good was 2004, IMO. 2006 wasn't bad, but 07 was just awful.
On a side note: 2k8 has Chris Paul on the cover. Happy day. I was getting tired of seeing Shaq's mug all over the shelves.
I'm sorry but that game still looks ty, the graphics are just not as good as the 2K games.
2K7 is the best NBA game, 2k8 will again be the best game.
I used to be into Live hardcore, but they haven't put out a really good Live since 03. 06 was ok, but nowhere near 2k7. The last NBA Live that was in 2k7's class was Live 2000. I hope they just threw away the source code to Live 2007, because that was a royal piece of dog .
I'm sorry Live Guys but 2K looks better. I quit Live back in 2000.

seriously even 2k7 shots look better than 08 vids. maybe define the crowds, make them home-like. keep doing what they're doing and 2k8 and the future could be insane!
Agree 2k8 is the better game....and has been since live was on the 64. i guess i got into the 2k franchise with the dreamcast and have been playin it ever since

2K destroys EA on every sports game, every single one, going back to NFL 2K and beyond. Sure the World Series Baseball games weren't any good but was "Triple Play" any better? Aside from that, good track record, especially on the NBA games, NBA Live doesn't even come close.
EA games in general has gotten sloppy with their games. It's like they think that year after year they can only make minimal changes to their games and people are going to keep buying them on name recognition alone. EA should be thanking the NFL that they were allowed to buy the rights for the next couple of years just so they could keep the 2k NFL games out of the loop. I'll tell you what, if you had given NFL 2k5 a couple more years to improve their games they would have surpassed Madden. EA had better improve their Madden's because right now that is their bread and butter. EA has lost alot of once loyal customers due to them being too cheap to make any major adjustments with there games. Plenty of glitches, but minimal adjustments.

If its a simple push of a button to execute a go to move that will suck balls because you'll have next to no control over the player. Thats what I like about 2k is that its a thousand times more fluid and free flowing. I do think that the EA artist are pretty damn good. I had Live for a couple of days and the graphics were solid it was just an aweful game. Each player in 2K shooting just like they do in real life adds leaps and bounds to the realism of the game.
Live had the worst rebounding physics ever....
I remember a lot of cases where the player who stayed on the ground got the ball instead of one or two guys who jumped in the air to get it.
