I'm not sure what you mean regarding physical ability. Scola is very similar to Oberto in that regard. He is not physically gifted, but he's got great fundamentals and very nice court vision.
Not physically gifted? R u kidding me? Ok he's got no 40inch vertical leap, but he's probably one of the fastest big men around today and has one of a first step for his size. He's probably faster than Beno!

    What's?
Before signing with the Spurs, Oberto had the better season his carrer in Europe with Pamesa Valencia.

    Appperò!
    Impressive.

Every year he played the all stars game of Spain League.

    Really!

He considerated in the five better players in the Euroleague and before sign with Spurs all euroteams an some nba (Barca, Madrid, Pana, Roma, CSK, Memphis, Sacramento) they showed interest and maked an offer for him (Barca, Roma, CSK)

    That's a INNER-inner Circle, actually.

When he played in Valencia he was the player of the month of acb,

    Appeperopperopperò!!!!!

several times. His games in the finals with Pamesa were unbelievable, he played like anyone more could have after in that team. All stats in offensive and defensive. He wasn't the mvp because Pamesa lost the last game.
Your comment laughs my ass off.

    Your whole post is, well...OK..

In the Europe still Oberto is considerated a stars and in the five best center list.

You don't have the foggiest idea of what you are talking about. MAYBE, maybe in the list of the five best centers from Argentina.

And what's more important. Always he does every things to win, Sarunas is a great fiba player, but isn't a natural winner like Oberto.

Oberto is a good player. But ten years from now, nobody will actually remember his name. Including in the inner-inner circle.

If you don't finish your homework (watch Oberto on tape a lot in Europe) you can't post of him.
    I can post on anything.
    Here and anywhere.

A little off topic, but another insight into Euro players' opinion of themselves.
Vujcic doesn't rule out joining Parker and Baston in the world's best league in future. "If they took Parker at age 31, then there's no reason they won't take me," he says, but notes sadly, "It's pretty disappointing that in the NBA they didn't notice that I was the best center in Europe for the last three years. The truth is that I never received a respectable-enough offer salary-wise or team-wise, but what can you do? It's the only thing that was never in my control."....

Vujcic and Maccabi will decide at the end of the season if they are interested in exercising the option for the third year of his current contract. Though he is earning nearly $1.5 million per year, that doesn't prevent him from considering himself "underpaid, certainly considering the out of control market this year."
    http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/913229.html

Now I really like Vujcic and think he could play well in the NBA, but really how bad could the offers have been compared to what he is being paid by one of the richer teams in Euroleague?

I don't think Marcus Fizer could get a guaranteed deal in the NBA over the summer after leading the ACB in scoring last season.
    ACB is not Euroleague.

Which is why I wrote ACB, doofus. That doesn't change my point one iota. He is playing in Euroleague this season if that helps explain things to you.

Another question - where does Saras rank with the all time European stars.

Did his acclaim reach the level of say Vlade? Kukoc? Manu? Sabonis? 1st tier euroleague great? Second tier?
You not consider them all-time first tier Euroleague star to me. Manu international yes but not Euroleague. Vlade, Kukoc first tier Euroleague? Bodiroga better than Kukoc.

    Jasekicius maybe.

Euroleague all time is something like

    PG Jasekivicus (maybe)
    SG Gallis
    SF not sure probable Petrovich
    PF not sure probable Bodiroga
    C Sabonis

    6 man probable maybe Marciulonis???

I do not think you can consider Divac or Kukoc this first tier but maybe Kukoc for PF or SF maybe I guess but doubt it. Manu?
    Manu?

If international yes but Euroleague? How so?

Two best Euroleague player ever Sabonis and Gallis this not even argument to me.

I think Spanoulis move up to replace Saras in starts lineup of all time eventual.

    Forwards.
    DANILOVIC, Bodiroga, Dalipagic, Kucoc, Nowitzki.

    Center.
    Sabonis, Meneghin (Cosic).

I left Parker, Iannakis, Kicianovic, MARCIULONIS, VLADE DIVAC, Villalta, Calderon out.

    Dinone Radja come after those.

I really thought Saras would do well in the NBA, particularly since the NBA was going smaller with 3 guards. He is a very emotional player and he thrived in Europe but his shot-making, play-making and confidence all diminished once he got to the Pacers (and Warriors). It's hard to understand what went awry.

I'm sorry, but Scola seems to me like Godzilla on valium next to the likes of Amare, Dirk, Garnett, etc.

Official website Acb League. Need translation?.C'mon,bro.You speak the spanish better than me.

best player of the month (2004 three best player of the week and two best player of the month)

    http://www.acb.com/redaccion.php?id=12578

Lamas and Dusko Ivanovic "Oberto is the best center nba off"

    http://www.acb.com/redaccion.php?id=11963

The ACB Finals. Barça vs Valencia.
"Oberto epic" from spain press. 19 ps 7 rebs 4 assist, player with more minutes in the court and he was injuried. ( 2003 four years ago). Yes, nobody will remember his name.
Best five Argentinian center? Scola is a power forward, Nocioni, too. Who is better center? Oberto is the best center in Argentinian and one the best nba off.

    But.

Right on. His carrer in Europe was garbarge. Oberto's white trash. Don't say a word. It's unnecessary, no more replay thread for me. You're dead right.
