I can't believe the 76ers let Korver go for a scrub like Giricek.
sloan...wow. i respect his gangsta for real...LOL
I can't believe the 76ers let Korver go for a scrub like Giricek.
So what exactly happened with Sloan and Giricek, I heard there was quite the scuffle.
Korver playing for Sloan? I don't think he'll have a breakdown like Kirilenko did when the playing time diminishes. So I guess that was a good move.
look what giricek is doing 4 the suns now.
7.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.![]()
Robert "No shot" Horry
2.5 points, 1 big assist , 2.4 reb.![]()

In Giri's last 4 games with us:
28.3 min
13 pts
2.5 rebs
2.3 ast
The guy just joined the team, so it's going to take a little time before he starts producing consistently for us, but he's been a great addition. Since he joined, the Suns have all of a sudden clicked, and their offense is looking as unstoppable as ever. Not saying that's because of Giricek, but he's definitely helped.
76ers waived him and the Suns signed him.
thats good. another non-defensive player to embarrass.
His defense has been great since he arrived.
Right.
So is your apparent ignorance an act?
Yeah you caught me, here's a championship.. mm not.
relax kid
I have been pleasently surprised by Giricek's hustle and defense. He does a good job of staying in front of his player on defense, he isn't afraid to mix it up in traffic and dive for the loose ball. When given the minutes and shots, he's put up very good numbers. He should be getting a minimum of 20 minutes per night.
All of a sudden the Suns nine-man rotation looks pretty damn good.
PG: Nash... Barbosa
SG: Bell... Giricek, Barbosa
SF: Hill... Diaw, Giricek
PF: Amare... Diaw
C: Shaq... Amare, Skinner
You have just enough of everything. Minutes are an issue, as I'd like to see Skinner receive closer to 15-to-18 minutes a game, but at least Skinner has been played lately. I never thought I'd see D'Antoni extend his rotation to include nine players consistantly.
You do understand what Horry's value is, don't you? It's never been about regular season numbers, and it never will be. Robert Horry is one of the biggest cutthroat assassins in the history of NBA post-season play. He'll leave your team for dead with a big 3 in the last seconds of a pivotal or deciding game, and you'll never know what happened until they show next year's Horry's best career daggers.
Don't sleep on Horry. He's especially dangerous to a team like PHO who has lazy defenders at the 4 and 5 spot who don't have a hope (or the desire) to close out on him outside the arc.
