I don't see how just the mention of Rodeo is funny? I guess there are some stereotypes that people think are funny, but I seriously don't get it. Maybe if he would have said soul train awards, and then I would have thought it to be more funny, not.

Yeah, I always thought it was a unique excuse. Rodeo Road Trip does sounds pretty regional though, so I don't mind Kobe's joke, even it was a little snobbish.
