Fairly small sample size, a good part of it against the Spurs. All of it against far superior compe ion. Memphis was never a terribly cohesive team to begin with.
Right...the same compe ion we now face against Phoenix, Dallas, and the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Miller was pretty much the second option on all those teams... here he would be fourth. That means the third best perimeter defender would be on him.
Good point. However, he's a scorer and if the Spurs aquired him I will bet you he will be seeing time with Ginobili on the court. Him and Gino will need to be able to create. With the way Pop manages rotations, he might see a top-notch defender. We don't know.

Those playoff number don't tell a lot of the story.
    Perhaps.

Udoka has performed pretty well in his absence and getting Stoudamire eliminates Barry's need to be the emergency third PG.

    He actually might go somewhere....
Really? Udoka has performed that well? From where I am sitting he has become inconsistent. He performs well for a few days and then stalls.

We need Barry's insurance policy. He's like Kerr was to the 2003 team.

The sticking point is Finley. I don't think the Spurs trade him, for the good faith he had in coming here. I also don't see the team gutting their bench...

Barry you have to consider not playing for us again this year, so that's fine. But Finley by now has too much corporate knowledge to let go, even if you discount any loyalty we might have to him.

Unfortunately, if you take out Finley (and I think you have to) and put in Bonner, the trade doesn't work under the CBA. You'd have throw in Vaughn to make it work, and I simply don't see that happening.

Not that anything like this would happen in the first place.
