That would be a very bad move for Memphis...but they did that stupid trade with the Lakers.
If I was the Spurs heck yeah. If I was Miami I might do that trade. If I was Memphis I would not do that trade.
Three team trade.
Spurs: Finley, Barry and Ian to Miami. Elson to Memphis
Miami: Haslem to San Antonio. Jason Williams to Memphis
Memphis: Mike Miller to San Antonio. Darko to Miami
Spurs:
Miller
Haslem
Heat:
Barry
Finley
Darko
Ian
Grizz:
Williams
Elson

i don't see why the grizz would want to do that trade. And I don't think I could part with both Finley and Barry. I feel like we'd be giving up too much.
Seems to work for everyone ok except Miami would really have to like Darko to do that.
Well, yes, but would the others do it?
Lol Tpark you criticized me a week ago about Miller. And were persistant in how we would keep Finley no matter what.
What about this trade..
Barry Elson Finley 1st rounder for Richard Jefferson?
I'm not saying i would do this...Just wondering y'alls opinion.
This would be a steal for the Spurs.
The Heat might make the trade.
The Grizzlies would be idiots to make the trade, but if they'd give up Pau for Kwame, who knows what else they'd do.
If I had to trade Finley though to get Haslem also I would do it.Lol Tpark you criticized me a week ago about Miller. And were persistant in how we would keep Finley no matter what.
Getting rid of Finley and barry and getting Miller and Haslem back, I could live with.
Pretty much what I thought![]()
Mike Miller's career averages in the playoffs: 9.0 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 40% fg, 34% 3fg. That, compared to his career averages during the regular season: 14.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 46% fg, 40 % 3fg. He averages 17 ppg, 7 rpg, 51% fg, 43% 3fg this season. I don't like those playoff numbers.
I still don't think it would be wise to get rid of both of them. Not only would we be losing 2 shooters... but we'd be losing a lot of chemistry and people who understand our system. I think that equates to losing a lot of the edge we have. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE Miller and Haslem as Spurs... but I am very hesitant to drop both Finley and Barry.
no, no trades needed you stupid ers
Out of curiosity, how many playoff games has he played?
Some with Orlando, some with Memphis
I'll estimate 8 or 9.
20 games
Wow 20?
Didn't know that.
Yeah, more than I thought at first.
To his defense hes never had a Tim Duncan to suck up the defenders![]()
Why do people insist on proposing complicated three-team trades?
Most of the time, a third party is only involved out of necessity to make the contracts match. Spurs do not necessarily NEED to do anything but shed salary and there are plenty of ways to do that withough involving a third team.
True. I just don't want another Hedo![]()
Barry going NO WHERE
Udoka has performed pretty well in his absence and getting Stoudamire eliminates Barry's need to be the emergency third PG.
He actually might go somewhere....
Fairly small sample size, a good part of it against the Spurs. All of it against far superior compe ion. Memphis was never a terribly cohesive team to begin with.
Meanwhile, Miller was pretty much the second option on all those teams... here he would be fourth. That means the third best perimeter defender would be on him.
Those playoff number don't tell a lot of the story.
I think it would be to costly for the spurs. Barry is shooting well this season and is good for two positions. Finley on the other hand has shown that he can gel well with the spurs. This blockbuster trade would somehow disrupt the team's chemistry. I'm not getting to sentimental, but I like the team - the way it is.
