NO they are not. The Spurs, Mavs, and Suns are all playing below their expected records at this point of the season. The rest of the West has about the same records they would have at this point in any other season. So instead of seeds #4-#8 being mediocre, seeds 1-8 are all mediocre. That does not make the #4-#8 seeds any better just because the top three are playing below expectations.

With NOH, I'm not impressed with them shooting a couple of hoops here and there.

New Orleans is only ahead of the Spurs by one game. Beat them tomorrow and you're tied for first. Dallas is in third place one game behind the Spurs and the Rockets are one game behind Dallas.

I think both Hornets and Dallas fall out and it's a dogfight between the Spurs and the Rockets the rest of the way for SW Division supremacy.
