Specialists have their place in the game.
Yes, but we can get them on the cheap.

There's a long line of past Spurs "three-point specialists".

    I'm not worried about that.

no way. Barry could drive into the basket and is a great passer.

Barry can run an offense successfully. Kapono cannot
well.. what Barry has brought to the table lately (shoot threes) makes me think that actually Kapono would fit great

Barry will be gone at the end of this season anyway unless he's willing to take a serious pay cut to stay in the game. I hate to see him go. He's been an asset on the court and in the locker room and in the community.

Maybe Kappono is young enough to learn something about the game besides 3pt shooting.

Kapono is the best shooter i have seen play. His hands and body are always ready for a shot. With duncan - manu - tp this guy is money!
He has an amazing mechanic so even if he has better games than other he is fairly consistent. One of the 2 main problem with him is that he can not create his own shot, but thta is not a problem in the spurs system. WHich brings us to the fundamental problem: defense
The guy looks like he tries but i have to admit he sucks on D. In toronto he is behind parker, moon, delfino. He enters the game for 15 minutes to bring instant offense off the bench.
I can see him being the 5th wing sharing minutes with another vets for second wing off the bench.
Not sure if we have the cap room, but with udoka, ian, tiago, all being fairly cheap, we might
