Oh, that must have been a good one.
I have had a couple of people tell me the same thing about Target gift registry. Their return policies are ridiculous. That is why anytime you buy something for someone you should include a gift receipt. Saves time and energy.
Oh, that must have been a good one.
You missed out.
Let's just say, don't buy hedge trimmers at Target.
Nothing will ever deter me from my love of all that is Target. Even their new crappy return policy.
I agree. I heart Target, and honestly I don't mind the policy ... is it so hard to remember to include the gift receipt, since it comes printed out with every transaction? Not taking back anything and everythign keeps scammers away and helps keep prices decent.
I admit though, I probably only feel this way because when I was a manager at HEB I had ever type of scammer trying to rip the store off. That stuff stays with you and affects how you feel about things like this.
I have no problem with the policy if I'm trying to return something I bought. They'll even try and look it up in the system if it was on your card. However, I can't do anything about the fact that people bought it off the registry and didn't include a gift receipt. Most stores will look at the registry, see that it WAS bought off of there, and subs ute that for the receipt.
And the stuff that people buy online from Target, and have sent directly to us, doesn't even include a receipt. It includes only a shipping receipt that specifically states "...this is not a sales receipt..."
Which doesn't help me at all.
I just LOVE Target, and I've never had any return trouble. It sure is disappointing to know their registry is like that when it is such a good idea. I always try to remember to add the gift receipt, but forgetting to do so shouldn't be such a hassle for a registry gift.
I love Target, but thanks for the heads up![]()
I thought it was kind of tacky but for a wedding I went to, the bride and groom basically registered for gift cards. So everyone got them that and it was easier.
