Nah, I did pretty well with my prediction for Scola. It's too bad the Spurs traded him, but that's life under the luxury tax.
There's nothing more to say and hasn't been for months.
Scola scored 10 points in the only quarter that was balanced.
And it was balanced ONLY because of him.
One gets the impression that Spurs would amost unbeatable WITH Scola in (rather that Bonner, for example).
I hate these comments because it's all hypothetical now.
All these Scola thread bumpers need to listen to "You can't always get what you want" or something.
Spurs are in 1st place in the west. Your point?
Oberto is a Spur and helped us win a le. Yes it was a bad move but you can't do anything about it now. Move the on and get over it. Jesus...
They would be first OVERALL, maybe?
My point is Spurs are playing excellent ball. No Scola needed.
If there is somebody that can convince me that Elson or Bonner, or even Horry in the present status, or Oberto are better players than Luis Scola, well I will spend a few nice words about his rethoric at udes.
Bonner needed?
Elson needed?
Horry needed?
Why would anyone waste his time doing that?
Or maybe Scola wouldn't play enough D for Pop to give him many minutes.
Or maybe he'd be a starter averaging a double double but the Spurs would be worse off as a team.
Or maybe be he would have gotten injured as a Spur and not be playing.
Or maybe he would be the teams leading scorer and they'd have a better record than the Celtics.
Or maybe they would have traded him midseason for Kurt Thomas.
Or maybe ...
The Scola obsession here is ridiculous. If the Spurs were missing the playoffs or something, I could understand it. But no one knows if Scola would have produced here in San Antonio. Beno produces in Sacramento and he was a lazy scrub here. Different environments bring out different results.
If Scola was here, there's no guarantee he'd be playing how he is playing with the Rockets.
And the point is that he isn't here.
And the Spurs are in first place in the West.
What for? Scola is a rocket. Move on.
Or maybe they would have traded him midseason for Kurt Thomas. That would've been classic.
Finally a good statement.
I REMEMBER I already told you you are one of the few I care reading here.
Stay sharp.
After reading through these past two pages, i've come to only one conclusion: This is just another worthless Scola thread. We might as well be talking about V-Span at this point.
All I gotta say now is ........ F Scola. F the Rockets. With the playoffs around the corner, I no longer care about whether that trade this summer was good or bad.
We got Oberto on the Spurs. Oberto is a big game player. Scola was a big game choker in Euroleague. Scola is free to help the Rockets lose once again in the first round. If you find yourself rooting for Scola, try this link and stop bandwagoning on the Spurs.
The Spurs have gotten serious. It's time for their fans to step their game up as well.
With scola and Barbosa, and Tiago coming oh ... what a future we lost![]()
