I throw in some veggies, peas, corn, carrots, squash, onions, and then I shred the roast.

Place over white bread top with brown gravy and have veggies on the side.

    In the crock pot
    1 cup of breef broth
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup (I hate mushrooms but this works real well)
1 packet of lipton soup mix
    Mix it

    Pot Roast
    Trim it of excess fat
Salt & Pepper then braise it (meaning fry it real fast on each side in a pan to seal in the flavor)

Put in the crockpot on low for 6 to 8 hours. When there is about 1 hour left I dump in a can of mixed veggies.

It will be so tender you can cut it with a spoon.

Easy and the best you have ever had.

Costs maybe $20 to do all of this.
    I'd go with this receipe

That's how I was taught to cook Pot Roast and it's really good.

Take one raccoon, one onion, 4 cloves of garlic, 1 cup of chopped celery, 2 lbs of potatoes and chicken broth.

Season with salt, pepper, cayenne, and a touch of nutmeg.

Slow cook for 4 hours and serve.

    That's a cajun feast.

    1. Cook the pot roast.
    2. Throw it out and let the dogs eat it.
    3. Whomp up some BBQ brisket instead.

    That is NOT carnitas.

That is some abortion called "beef carnitas" they make here in SA.

It basically "carne asada" all cut up.

    It tastes nothing like carnitas.

At 7:45 AM, I pour two cans of beef bullion in a crock pot, add potatoes, carrots, celery and the pot roast. Add seasonings to include oregano. Cook on low heat. Then when I come home in the evening I have dinner for three already made.

I make mine fairly similarly to everyone else, but I sear the roast first seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic & rosemary in a little olive oil ... and since no one in my house likes potatoes or carrots cooked that way, I just add a bunch of mushrooms to it and make rice & a salad.

I've never seen that. I guess because you called it an abortion means it doesn't taste good?

As a child, we had pot roast every Sunday. Have not eaten it since and have had no desire.

Pot roast is usually too dry in my opinion.
