"Hey, I will take a 15 point win any ing day."
PHX plays absolutely no defense. They won't win the NBA le playing no defense.
Look at the best teams in 04 playoffs (spurs, ind, det, lal, min) and tell me which one plays absolutely no defense?
And then the 03 Spurs defense won the le against the Nets who also played a pretty nasty defense.
"I guess you preferred the 73 pts we gave to Houston....and LOST"
totally irrelevant.
Spurs are inconsistent as , but that's the ONLY aspect where PHX is better. PHX always beats the teams they are supposed to beat, and hold their own against teams in their class. The Spurs lose 8 games to inferior teams.
Jim, you really have stars in your eyes about PHX.
We beat PHX offense @SBC with Spurs defense.
Then we beat their offense @PHX by Spurs' offense outscoring their league-best offense, and generally showing more toughness and balls than PHX.
Jim Jackson is better than what PHX had before, nothing off the bench, he's better than nothing. But he doesn't help their non-existent defense. Another (streaky) jumpshooter, exactly what PHX's 133 pt offense was missing.
I beg to differ, I always root against the Suns this year.
I am only a Spurs fan, unlike Kori, who says that Phoenix is her 2nd team
I have no second team

But I am not a blind homer who thinks that the Spurs are the only good team who has a chance to win it all.
Note, the Spurs have been in league since 75 and have 2 les...so obviously theer are other good teams around.
2 down 5 to go and you money is mine.

Bet is off, Kori informed me that we can not bet vBookie dollars, unless we set up a vBookie bet and we bet on it, but that won't transfer your money to me.
So now, I am going to root against the Suns again.

Jim is correct. You can't bet your vBookie dollars against each other. You'll have to bet real money for that.![]()
No problem, the Suns are still going down and SPURS wil have the best record at the ALL-STAR break.![]()
I told you the Suns would not lose 2 games.....now do you agree with me?
It's not a lock. They have to play Minnesota and Memphis on the road back-to-back.
They still have 2 games left, back to back, memphis and minnesota, Two tough teams, The grizz on a tear and you don't know which Twolve team will show up... But I hope Pop gets the nod, simply because I would like our coach at home and not picking the reserves. I think Pop would pick a good team and do a better job at spreading the min to all the players....
You reading my msgs before i post this was the second time....![]()
Just FYI ... the A-S coach doesn't get to pick the reserves. All the head coaches in the league vote for the reserves and they can't vote for their own players. But I hope Pop gets the nod, simply because I would like our coach at home and not picking the reserves. I think Pop would pick a good team and do a better job at spreading the min to all the players....
It must be a Phoenix-connection.You reading my msgs before i post this was the second time....
Actually, the Suns have three games left before the cut off date.
The Suns are on a b2b Tue/Wed but all three Suns opponents this week will be on the second half of a b2b.
I expect they will beat Memphis and New York, Minnesota will be a tougher game but I don't really expect them to lose that game either.
I think it would be funny for D'Antoni to coach an All-Star game in the city of the team that fired him.
The Suns will not lose 2 more games. They might drop 1 game, but not 2. They are playing too damn well to lose two games. The Griz might win tonight, but they played in New Orleans last night, while Phoenix was kicking back in a 5 star hotel in Memphis. The Grizzlies might not have their legs in the 4th Q against a team that will be running on them all night long. If Memphis had the night off last night, they would be able to stay with them easily, but it might be a case of bad timing for them with this back to back.
Minn??? Don't make me laugh.
New York??? come on....
so it looks like if Pop is to coach in the All Star game, it is up to Memphis to put him in the game.
Go Grizzlies!!!
Damn, I could have had CHAMPS AGAIN'S 500 vBookie dollars.....just my rotten luck that it was not possible to transfer funds.
I agree it is too bad Memphis played last night, but they are pretty deep and Earl Watson is a tough defender to put on Nash. Should be interesting.
If we end up with the same number of losses and different wins, why wouldnt pop get teh Nod since we have beaten PHX twice?
Because they look at the entire schedule. If both the Spurs and Suns win out, the Suns will have one more win.
winning percentage....wins do not matter, but it is winning percentage.
Read the post I was answering. The "given" was equal number of losses.
Hence the way I posed the answer.
That will make pop happy, but that is rediculous.
Without Gasol, their leading scorer and rebounder, this will be a very tough win, they can pull it off. Swift has been very good in Gasol's place lately.
