This is the kind of post by a Laker fan that makes me embarrassed to be one.

Yes, that 12 year old needs to be in bed...

The bottomline is Derek Fisher's shot HIT the rim and I will have video evidence of it for you all to see. Lakers probably push the lead up to 3-4 pts and win the game. It all balanced out in the end. Quit whining.

Whatever. I thought the fans here blaming the Game 1 loss on the refs was garbage and said so numerous times, because those were borderline calls in the Lakers building after we had completely collapsed. But this was an unequivocal foul at home after we had done we had to do to get back in the game, no matter how horrid we had played prior.
The game was called horribly, I'll give you that. My point is that to put this loss squarely on that no-call would be giving this team too much credit. I'm actually more pissed at the way they played tonight than at that call at the end. They completely laid an egg at home against a Lakers team that is both for real and has a perfect record at home. Manu was nowhere to be found, again. We gave them second chances time after time again. Just poor play all around...inexcusable.

Rules state that the defender has his right to verticle space. FIsher jumped, then Barry dribbled into him and didn't attempt a shot. Barry then after the contact made a basketball move and shot the 3.

    Correct call.

Though I'd too if I was about to be eliminated.
Utter failure. It was a foul.

I'd agree with you if it weren't for the fact that if wasn't for the shot clock up, the Spurs would have never had the opportunity they had.
we can't argue prior plays, because Tony totally deserved an and 1 the previous play. All we have is the OBVIOUS FOUL down the stretch.

OT would have settled the game properly, but Joey is God in his mind and he decides how games should end. Whatever, this is nothing a victory Thursday can't cure.

As timvp/rasheed would say - both teams played hard.

Excuse me but nothing can ever balance out 0.4. There aren't enough make up calls in the universe.

They should have been up by 1 with a chance to take it to 3. With the way they were choking at the line, we're left to wonder.

What? Who decided that rule? We can't discuss any plays other than the last play?

I don't see where that came from.

Yes we can. We can argue all the previous plays the refs screwed up.

Oh, and you will get owned on Thursday...

I with you on that as well. Embarrassing! I am sure there are a lot of objective spurs fans here who are equally embarrassed by thier fellow jerks too. Sad.

Doesn't everybody understand that this is nothing but an entertainment business? Yes, I am ing pissed just like the rest of the Spurs and other REAL BASKETBALL FANS, but unfortunately what is normally the kiss of death for a team (being the league MVP) doesn't seem to matter this year. It killed the Hornets having the Coach of the Year.

Robert Horry played like complete . This is the first time in his career that he hasn't come through in the playoffs.

Brent Barry was awesome, and should have been in more than Manu.

Duncan was timid way too much again.

Parker couldn't buy a good shot.

    Fab wasn't fab.

    Finley didn't have the rythem.

and so on and so on.

I believe that just like how they can review a shot clock violation at the end of the quarter/game, they should be able to review a play like this. Even if no ref made a call. It appears that they would only review if one of the officials made a call, and decide if it's valid. In this instance, no call made probably would not result in a review, unless made mandatory. Fisher almost took off Barry's head --- it's that ing obvious!

I would love to see the Spurs to win 3 straight, but unless there is some sort of miracle, the Spurs are robbed again by the Lakers and it just SUCKS!

But, the Western Finals need to go to 7 games just to make sure that whoever plays in the NBA Finals, they are just as tired as the Eastern Champs, because that series is going 7 ...

bingo. EVEN the golden boy Lebron James couldn't get a call in a similar situation at his home court. Why in the world would Brent Freaking Barry gets a call?

Because that argument is endless. The game obvioulsy boiled down to one last play. The Game deserved to be decided in OT if, and a BIG freakin IF in my book, Barry makes two to tie.

about the lebron shot: the ref do him a faver with the no call, tha spurs was up 3 and the foul was a 2 shot foul so they give him possibility 3 point shot that was much more better for the cavs

The more we whine the more we are sinking down to their level. I for one do not want to be known as a whiny Spurs fan. We had the opportunities we just did not put it together. Manu needs to pull his head out if we hold out any hope to win this series. BTW there were terrible calls all night. Let's not forget Timmy somehow dunking the ball without a dribble though he received it from the top of the key.
