throw the ball once or thrice in the fourth quarter and it never gets to OT.

I just wanted to add that our offensive game plan was borderline criminal making Foreman tote the rock 50+ times.
Totally inexcusable from Strong and Gilbert.

Yeah, final cost is going to be about $30M for possibly 3 straight losing seasons. Don't forget Mack Brown is still on the payroll.
Baylor is compe ion?
thats a joke.
nobody said it was quality compe ion.
Taking that job is applying for martyrdom.
We do not need a bowl game.
Please no.
I've said this before, Charlie is a good man and deserves to go out with dignity. He wasn't the man for this job, but there is no shame in that, few men are big enough for this job. Lets hope that the Texas administration get it right this time around.
Thank you Charlie for being a great recruiter, for cleaning up the program and setting the program on the path to respectability again. Let's hope the next coach will take us to the promised land.
I think it's the right call to let him finish the regular season. I'm not sure how a bowl game would factor into this though.
this is a problem.
they don't know who they are.
I wouldn't mind a bowl game. Obviously still have to beat TCU and if we get there hope we can play well enough to beat our bowl opponent. At least they could finish the year off a couple of wins and feel some sort of enthusiasm for the upcoming season. Maybe a lot to ask for but I would take any positive momentum into the offseason and for what it's worth give the young guys a couple more weeks of practice. Only thing I'm not sure about is how the new coach plays into this...would they step in for the bowl game or would Charlie coach it too, honest question?
They don't deserve a ing Bowl game after yesterday.
No, the new coach wouldn't coach the bowl game but CS may or may not. However, it's a big "if" whether there will even be one.
A bowl game would be a horrible thing. Focus needs to be on the transition, not drawn out because of a meaningless bowl game.
Jeez some of you still on edge I see maybe I've grown too immune to this process. I stand alone I suppose.
DE Lagaryonn Carson isn't going anywhere. Last I heard, his grades were improving at his new HS.
We are a team with the third most wins in college football. We like to think we are a University who will give coaches a chance which we have done with Strong IMO. We think at some point we should be in the hunt for a conference championship every year like Oklahoma. We think during this time we should have a shot in getting into the final 4.
The following is huge, money is not a problem, and the tradition is there. The recruiting is made much easier by being in Austin. We are in a very bad spell similar to ND I suppose. Michigan has been through this as well but with one hire, boom. Ohio State the same. We want a boom. We got a boom with Mac Brown. Then we got a happy, content grandpa with time.
And there you have it.
Biblical stuff...
So you just wanted to know which coach.
Damn good point.
