Dirk being as awesome as he is allows for this. Dirk has been the most unselfish and least egotistical person I have seen outside of Duncan. Some of his comments about being willing to sacrifice were amazing.

I'm sure he'll have a high 6 digit paying job with Cuban if he wants with the Mavs.
What's funny is that LMA thinks his diva acts are going to get him all the attention. Little does he know that DPG is a huge deal on ST and I'm planning on announcing my retirement right after LMA announces hes playing for SA which will completely overshadow him.
"high 6 digit"![]()
Dirk doesnt give give a anymore he just wants one more ring
Odd comment, since he just left a team of little girls.
Yup - Dirk is that dude. Despite playing for a division rival all these years, he's probably my favorite non-Spur player of the past decade or two.
As he should, but if we've learned anything from Tim and this FA period (plus other drama) is that guys like Tim and Dirk are so damn rare. It's incredible how amazing they are to have as franchise leaders.
Even if he will be paid after and has been paid during, it's not easy to be so selfless and have no ego.
Agreed. Dirk is a class act and real team first guy.
Yea that one got me pretty good too![]()
Matthews is never going to be the same player again. Jordan was a good signing but I don't know what they were thinking throwing big money at Matthews.
Yeah I hate the Mavs but tough to dislike Dirk. of a player. A shame he plays for such a crap team.
Right. .. Just confirmed with his new $110M contract.
It's what changed LMA's mind to stay a Blazer.
i don't like when family has meals around that time like thanksgiving and its called dinner.
he'll be a fourth option and will be benched in crunch time
Well said.
That's why I think the Splitter trade was a good gamble no matter what happens. If the Spurs were going to land Aldridge, they had to show him they were SERIOUS. They've now cleared the path for him and made his fit extremely clear (in fact, his camp is reporting that the Spurs are the only team that have made it absolutely clear how he'd fit).
If Aldridge goes elsewhere? Welp, that happens when you swing for the fences.
Spurs fans who want risk-free gambles on a strict timetable are delusional.
God is it going to be disappointing if LMA doesn't come and the Spurs end up taking crap like Nene to fill the starting lineup. Or even worse Hibbert.
Yep, he is not a #1 option or Franchise player. He was set up by Paul bigtime.
you think pop hacked DJ in LA? Wait till he plays the spurs in a mav uniform.
