I've already pointed out a relevant difference on why I think this is so damaging long-term. "We believe her" and it's derivatives is applicable ideology that will send innocent people to jail. People looking at the details of Clinton like her smashing phones or something and thinking she is guilty isn't going to carry over to some average Joe/Jane. It's a massive difference.
