Getting healthy solved a lot of this.

Their biggest problem now is that their core is not really a contending core, with their chemistry problems and lack of interest on defense. They have some nice players but it has never really come together for them. Arenas and Jamison's contracts are going to cripple them going forwards as far as adding pieces goes. They may be forced to trade Butler at the deadline for expirings if they plan to be a compe or in 2010.

Not really. Even healthy, with the way the Spurs are limiting the minutes of the big three more than ever, that wouldn't have been enough.

Now I'm confused. My comments were about the Spurs, not the Wizards. I agree with your comments about the Wizards, though.

Ahh...ok. I thought you were talking about the Wizards.
