Not trying to sound pessimistic ( I like the signing), but DX did a really great job pointing out his weaknesses in that video.

Its an obvious low risk - decent reward gamble by R.C/Pop ( 1 yr deal for 5th big) -- but from the looks of it, the PNR will kill him on the NBA level. Imo He's way too slow to hedge, and waaaay to slow to show any degree of containment on the ball handler and waay too slow to recover to his man rolling to the basket.

On the positive note, he looks like he can be a productive offensive role player in this league.

The critiques are fair. He is much more of an offensive force than defensive.

In the regular season, he should excel against back up bigs and not be too much of a hindrance on defense.

Playoffs, he might not play much if at all against some teams.

I like how, for the most part, he takes it strong to the basket instead of throwing up weak layups. It's what killed Tiago and even Baynes to an extent. They'd try too many reverse layups and pump fakes instead of just taking it up strong. Hopefully that trait translates to the NBA, and he keeps that up here.

It shouldn't be regarded as su ious. It should be regarded as further evidence that the draft is not an exact science. Good players go undrafted all the time, and lots of players that get drafted never amount to .
