You haven't seen either of these guys play.

Bobo can't play the SF even in a bench role. He's firmly a power forward at this point of his career.
That David Pick is surely the Woj of Euro BBal..Dude even called LMA a couple of days before it got confirmed..Not the shot-in-the dark type, IMO..
Special glacial lineup:
Marjanovic
Duncan
Diaw
Anderson
Ginobili
They'll score on everyone, but may not make it past halfcourt before the other team is scoring.
I see our depth more as
PG Parker, mills, mccallum
SG green, Manu,
SF Leonard, anderson
Pf Aldridge, Diaw
C Duncan, west, marjanovic
There will be some teams he doesn't match with, esp GSW, but others he will be hugely helpful. I'm impressed with his hands and strength. Also seems to be a hard worker who is improving.
I'm sure Boban will get more than a few DNP-CDs, but I'm very very happy.
I still want Austin Daye, so we can have him play SG in this lineup:
Marjanovic - 7'4"
Duncan - 6'11"
Aldridge - 6'11"
Daye - 6'11"
Anderson - 6'8"
I can't wait to see this guy and KA run the pick and roll!
(Get out your sundials.)
The gulf between someone like BOBAN to Cole Aldrich as a back up center is very wide.
Like I said, I'd be shocked if he played much over 10 mpg this coming season. I know he's the "Baynes replacement", but he won't have as big of a role as Baynes did this previous season. Diaw and West will be the first bigs off the bench for the majority of matchups.
Still, this is exactly what we needed. A legitimate center who can give spot minutes against the "true centers" out there like Marc Gasol, Roy Hibbert, DeAndre Jordan, etc. He's most likely going to be much better than anyone we would've found over here for the minimum. He's only 26, so who knows, he could very well end up being a full-time backup center in the future if he adjusts well to the NBA game and the Spurs choose to re-sign him to a multi-year deal.
Do his feet leave the ground when he dunks? Jeez!!
I think you may be right. I feel much more comfortable with this lineup than with KA at this point. KA is gonna have to step it up big time here on out. I wonder who is higher up the ladder in Pop's mind right now. Someone with Boban's resume and age or KA and his corporate knowledge and tenure. Then again Splitter was a Euroleague MVP and rode pine the first year.
I actually see this guy starting whenever Duncan rests to keep the big rotation intact.
Incredible, I would have never guessed that he would be willing to come over at such a low price.

Moves well, decent footwork, great hands, ing ginormous. Definitely worth a shot. Another steal by the basketball geniuses who run the Spurs.
Best front office offseason since Timmy was retained.
PS Mark Eaton sized but moves more fluidly.

Could he do a better job than Kyle?
Someone teach him to sky hook
Holy . Fantastic news.
Be careful when you say such things about Boban.
