Why do Mavs fans defend Cuban? He's a total dumbass and you know it. We spurs fans talk about Holt all the time, ya'll should get a sense of humor.
I defend certain things about Cuban. The way he's poured money to turn the team around, provide a fun environment for the fans, catered to the players, etc. is very impressive and laudable. As an owner I think he's the best in the league. The *fan* in Cuban is not something I'm always happy about and willing to defend. I appreciate that he loves the game and wants to root for the Mavs but I don't think he should be so close to the team during the games. Cuban is the furthest thing from a dumbass, he's ridiculously smart in the business decisions he makes regarding the Mavericks. You may disagree with his yelling and screaming during the game because of the whole owner/fan thing but it's not his fault that the media continues to follow him around and give him interviews despite the fact that he's mellowed out a lot this season.

Cuban was one of the best things that happened to the Mavericks organization. While I don't appreciate his at ude at times, he was very much involved in the rebuilding of the organization from the ground up.

Cuban is a hard core fan. Yeah maybe it doesn't look good with Cuban being furious but I was feeling the same way. I'm glad he calmed down though at the end but wow what a frustrating game. It doesn't help with trolls doing though.

Cuban's looking frumpy because he's put his heart and soul into a team that lays down like Tara Reid any time another team feels like playing fearless and punking them. I don't know how you go 67 games playing 'Mavericks' basketball only to scrap the whole thing and start Devean George at center to try to match up with the other team's small lineup.

I'm still shocked. What a pathetic gameplan and performance.

There's no doubt Cuban has a great buisness mind and he's done well with the Mavs. I think his lack of maturity at times rubs opposing fans the wrong way.

this is true...it's also one of the reasons why i have to really think about whether i want to buy a basketball team when i make it big...i am just as immature and don't see any improvement in that department in the foreseeable future!

We should get rid of the Kings forum and put up a mavs forum so you mavs fans can have a place to go.

Dallas didn't execute the gameplan. Maybe they will have more success now that they see what the Warriors are doing on defense. Small ball was not the problem though. When Dallas did go big it was a huge mismatch. Harrington is a baller and shoots over 40% from 3's since he came to Golden State. You really think Dampier or Diop have a chance in to guarding him? If Dallas will win this series, they'll have to do it small and make shots. If Dallas doesn't make shots they'll lose. I blame Dirk and Stackhouse most for this loss though. They were terrible.

Warriors vs. Houston/Utah in 2nd round will be interesting. I think GS could take either one of those two teams.

Spurs vs. Suns in the 2nd round is the practice WCF.

Golden State and Phoenix did their jobs this weekend. No surprises there.

Spurs and Utah, being two of the top teams all season long were a disappointment, losing to the lowly Nuggets and Rockets.

Why are you bringing up the Spurs in this thread, Jeff? I thought this was only to discuss the Mavs and Warriors, according to you.

I'm discussing the overall playoff picture.

People were talking about "Well the Spurs lost tonight too". That's what I meant.
