They're trying to shed salary. Are they not?

They need to send a pick and package one of their cheaper players to absorb crowder/smart etc.

Kawhi-Green-Crowder is a nice wing combination though.

Crowder at the 4, Kawhi, Green...looks nice.

chris paul is a free agent next summer

i hope he doesn't extend his contract. he'll make more $ if he waits and resigns.
That's only with HOU though. They have his bird rights so if he leaves HOU he can't make the money he wants.

You shouldn't be lol'ng GS for that. They are trying to improve and willing to spend money that is a great front office. Many just cash in - especially when you know your team is good enough to win without trying to improve.

I don't think anyone is saying Young is a great player; what they are saying is what he represents (GS FO being aggressive and willing to spend) is impressive.

I think it's pretty obvious Paul was Plan A... and Plan B was bringing back Patty and not over paying for Hill etc...

Is it the right move?? We shall see but PATFO have a better understanding on what's going on then 100% of posters on ST..
I think Paul AND Patty were Plan A. Mills was always going to be brought back. , Pop even said as much.

You really think so??? I dunno about that..

They whiffed on Paul and took the safest route and met Mills in the middle and didn't want to take the risk of his value increasing and then being really stuck lol.

The real question is if they trust Murray...cause I sure don't lol

Warriors are just toying with the NBA, tbh..signing players that were viewed as cancer like Javale McGee and Nick Young and turning them into champions..it's intentional, it's like when the Patriots sign little white receivers and win Super Bowls

No idea what you're talking about, but eighteen mill a year for Nick Young is insane. They're going to regret like this.

Give the Warriors credit for drafting their players..really respect that tbh..

But they also got lucky AF with Curry once having his career in Jeporady to being 2x MVP he was literally making Danny Green $$ when he won the MVPs lmao.

They also lucked out by choking 3-1 lead in the Finals...

Not sure which one player a bigger factor...kinda think the epic choke job could've started one of the best possible dynasties in NBA history

Pop said that they were planning on re-signing Mills during the season (where as he said Dedmon would make a lot of money "somewhere"). Lowe speculated before that that Mills and SA had a deal worked out. After the deal as announced someone said on Twitter that Mills knew he wasn't going anywhere from the get-go. And then the cap space thing. Those all lead me to believe that Patty-to-SA was in the queue well before Paul made his decision.

Why? They're rich as and it's not like 18.5 counts on the cap.

It's this sort of crap that has a team owner wake up in three years realizing he's going broke buying ty players like Nick Young and starts having to couple assets to dump salary. It's a classic mistake. Inane they have the hubris to do it.

Hmmm maybe so..but if they did get Paul they'd have to move Parker?? And if so maybe that was the deal breaker with Paul and Parker being close??? I just don't think it's smart to put the cart before the horse..I'd like to think PATFO are better then that..
