Almost certainly Patty's last season as a Spur unless they give up on winning.
I would trade Patty for MCW in a heartbeat. Right now the Spurs have almost a clear cut shot against GSW in WCF and as much as i like Patty, MCW would make Curry work on defense. We are not getting rid of Parker, but to have two younger back up 6'5 pgs who can get to the rim and play good enough defense with their length, that to me is what's more important. Their shooting isn't stellar, that we all know, but neither has Pattys been in the last two years.

Pretty much all the contenders have left so they mean trying to convince to come aboard despite minimum. I am figuring Doc/Celtics connection along with already living in LA helped.

You also stated West should be our center.

Everyone here knows you have fallen down hard when SAGirl(troll) started showing around.
West played center more than anyone was happy about.

The idea was really about lma at center. Duncan back up center.

Wonder if this tweet is accurate, or if the meaning got messed up in the translation (seems like a non-English speaker). Most people were predicting $1.5 million would be the yearly amount, not $1.5 million over both years.
Article also says we paid the buyout. So add that as 2 million paid.

It's simple. He prefers Los Angeles over San Antonio as a city. Can't blame him. Has nothing to do with basketball reasons unfortunately.

I mentioned this in a different thread but I think Spurs are not guaranteeing playing time to any vets signed at this point. I think they fully aim to give Anderson his chance, they have Bertans as well who can divvy up time with him in case of injuries or whatever and these vets are probably being told they have to compete for the spot and that playing time will be matchup based or rest, injury based. It's speculation of course, but it could conceivably prompt someone in a vet min to go somewhere else provided the money is equal bc it wouldn't even be ring chasing in here. I think PATFO will have trouble getting guys like this.

    Dat spacing w/ DD & T-Rob.

Would be the exact opposite of the Turd Towers on the boards though....

At this point Amare is their best option as far as vets go since T-Rob surely wants GUARANTEED playing time so he can pad his stats.

I think that's a high floor for Patty even with a cap increase. Regardless I don't think they offer what another team will offer. He's not good enough to be investing a significant amount of money in.
Deli got 4 Years $38 million. I think everyone that's watched the two play would say Mills is definitely the better player. Mills ,this year, probably could have gotten $50 million cap will jump $8 million, I think $50 million is fair price.

We know the Spurs don't make promises but if this is their pitch they might as well sign Bonner and call it an off season. No vet, at the minimum, wants to hear they have to compete with Anderson and possibly Bertans for playing time. Or to be a glorified 5th-6th big man.
