There will be no sanctions at all . Very surprised that Stern actually bit the bullet on this one but now I'm more concerned that something awful will happen.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the Spurs getting screwed on calls in the playoffs . . . but it's not like we haven't seen that before.

What can he really do though? It's not like he can doc the Spurs draft picks or suspend the big three for five games each. He's ignorant enough that we probably shouldn't rule out Pop being suspended, but most likely, we're looking at a fine ranging from $100K-250K, I'd imagine.

The question is, will the fine be legit? Unless Wojnarowski somehow comes up with the details, it's all but certain we'll never know, but I honestly think it's a possibility they announce that but don't actually fine them. There's two reasons why they might do this: 1) They have no grounds for doing this, so if the Spurs wanted this to turn even uglier, they could sue the league. 2) Isn't Stern close with Holt?

It's an 82 game season and Pop can manage his roster any way he sees fit. I'm surprised more teams aren't strategically resting players as the Spurs have done over the past few years.
