Yo DeMar, help bring in AD
I don't know what odds the Raps have in Vegas, but I give them a fair chance of winning a le this season. The Spurs lost Danny Green from their playoff roster and gained DeRozan and Poetl in the trade. That rates afrom the Spurs' perspective. But from the Raps' perspective they lost DeMar (who was not great in the playoffs) and Poetl and gained Danny and Number 2. That's a big
from their perspective. They have a legit shot if Number 2 is healthy and returns to form. And Danny may show improvement in Toronto, also. After all he wasn't great last season; moreover, next season is a contract year...
Yo DeMar, help bring in AD
Darn, AD, if he's friends with Demar and Demar can somehow get him over here, he'll be a legend to me forever no matter whatever he does on the court for the Spurs. AD is the the kind of people I like to see Demar train and hang out with. If I had a choice of who to have traded Kawhi for in the entire NBA, I would have picked Anthony Davis over everyone else in the NBA.

I also believed that Russ was selfish, but someone on twitter posted ulative stats for the last 4 years or so, regarding who makes his teamates better scorers. Of course, curry was number one, but I believe Russ was top 3! Kawhi was second to last by the way.
Nice to see him in the gym working on his game and trying to improve his handlesMurray needs to get in the gym with the trainer in this video
Yeah, it looks like Demar has really improved his handles the past few years working with this guy. It's interesting that Seth Curry is also working with him. I would have thought Seth would have been using whoever his brother Steph uses to work on his handles? Either way, this guy must be pretty good as he's gotten really good results with the guys shown on this video.
I like that Mamba mentality. He’s on a mission. I can’t wait. GSG!
One thing I learnt from that training video is that rap/r&b music is dreadful.
His dribbling and handling were good enough. I wish he had put all that work on improving 3pt shooting, defense, p&r game. As a SG he needs that. Do you want to improve your overall game further than that? Add passing, posting up. But working again in the areas where you already are good at is a waste of time.
I hope this clip is showing only a part of DeMar's work during this summer. For sure he's motivated and he has worked hard but getting better is not only about will and determination.
Great.......more for me and the rest of humanity that appreciates those genres of music.
'Handle all life black like a batman. Dribble too much, huh, what is that man.' That isn't even trying.
You worded the lyrics very wrong but the things you have to realize is that this song is to promote the ‘Ankle Bully’ guy. It’s a song about his HandleLife sessions business. I didn’t know anything about it before this so I’m not defending it like I know it. Just seems like anyone should be able to pick that up. Anyways, the point I want to make is that songs used to promote businesses usually are never that good (and kind of corny in order to fit the business) no matter what the genre and shouldn’t usually be taken too seriously. And yes I realize there are a lot of bad songs in that genre just like any genre.
From what I can gather the way he shoots and the way he prefers to shoot he will never have an elite or NBA average 3 pt shot. He is very much relies on feel and his feet being planted. He does not get a lot of leg lift on his shot either. He also loves to have that ball on his whole hand while having a relatively slow wind up and release. Unless he as well as his trainers and team are willing to sacrifice his mid range game and start his shooting form from scratch I doubt he becomes more than an average NBA shooter. If he was going to do that it would have made sense to do it in his first 2 or 3 years in the NBA not right now but hopefully Chip can get more leg lift in his jump shot with a high release that way he is less reliant on the feeling in his hands than in an actual quick release involving his whole body. This may not make sense to someone else but it does to me. I grew up loving and playing a lot of basketball but always played in a small driveway with no room for a 3 pt shot. My midrange game was very consistent and based more off a set shot and feel of the ball on my hands like Derozan that trying to make 3's made no sense to me no matter how hard I tried. As long as he can make the corner 3 (I think he can) I think he would best help the spurs by being a better distributor (playmaker) than using all his efforts on his 3 pt shot.
Brent Barry had almost ZERO leg lift on his shot. It was a close to a set shot as anyone I've watched in the NBA since 1981. He was a dead eye shooter. Your base and plant are important. You can also get upward momentum like Barry did by bending your knees, sort of jumping without actually leaving the ground. If you want a quick release, it's also important not to bring the ball down too far, not to shoot from the hip.
All valid points but like I said it is very hard to explain other than Derozan must've grown up thinking "get to the rim at all costs" and then he started developing a mid range. Getting him a good feel for the even longer 3 pt arc in the NBA and long arms, he is who is he at this point unless they change his stroke. He needs more angle and quicker release for sure.
DD's shot isn't as bad as Kawhi's was. It really just needs tweaking, maybe just start the motion higher, chest or shoulder level. I guess it would depend on how motivated he is to improve. I also don't think that improving your 3 pointer sends your midrange game into the dumper.
Weird. I never thought Kawhi's jumper was bad but the way he used to take it back made his release low and slow. I think his motion was inefficient but ultimately it only needed a little tweaking and he turned into a deadly shooter. All this while he was relatively young though. At 29 DD it's probably unlikely he will be a great 3 or shooter. Just thinking our expectations and for the Spurs it's better we hope he keeps becoming a better distributor like Harden, Manu, Lebron type while incrementally working on his 3 (mainly corner 3).
DJ looks like he worked like crazy on his spot up 3 which would compliment DD well for now.
The music in the video is actually the basketball trainer’s own tracks, he dabbles in music as well.
black and white. dude is definitely depressed![]()
